ahhh I'm glad you find this relateable! it can be scary sharing on the internet but if just one person finds value in it, makes it all worth it ( *ˊᵕˋ) Thank you for your interest in my story!!! I am planning on making a little introductory video very soon with some footage of me working on their character sheets. Essentially Color Coven is about elemental witches in their 20s trying to navigate life and business owning, and sharing their practices and cultures with each other! It's like a slice of life, adventure, which eventually ramps up with some more societal commentary themes (and maybe some characters that end up causing controversy...) I definitely have that problem, and loooooooots of others (including my ADHD and desire to do a million different things with my art all the time). Right now I'm kind of in the tail end of concepts. I have HUGE documents of possible plot points, character arcs, overall story elements, and descriptions of locations and magic systems/cultures/practices. I'm also almost done sketching character sheets for the 3 main characters. Plus a grimoire of my own with lots of real world magic / witchcraft studies!!! It's so intense trying to do it all, and I haven't even properly scripted yet! I'm ~kind~ of used to writing in script format as I did it a lot when I was first making 'manga' type stories as a teenager, but it's been so long I definitely want to relearn the right way. Basically TLDR; its a long and difficult process! making comics is something that whole TEAMS do, so doing it by yourself is quite the challenge! not impossible of course but be gentle with yourself while you're learning and growing. And remember there is no time limits! Having fun is the most important part. Cr3eating a webtoon/comic has also always been my dream, so don't give up on it!!! I think my biggest roadblock and next challenge is outreach, finding other creatives to workshop ideas with and get creative feedback from. So I'm hoping my video on my story can reach people who are interested in doing the same!!! WOW that was a long response.
