Are Ohlins DFVS Worth It on the Honda S2000?
Today we're installing a complete Ohlins DFV coilover setup paired with 12K Swift Springs and Sakebomb mounting forks on my Honda S2000 which would've cost about $2800 new depending on where you're purchasing from. I bought this setup for a good deal from a buddy of mine when he upgraded to a set of MCS coilovers.
This is my first time lowering an S2000, so I'm excited to see how it goes and how much it improves the ride and handling. Overall it was a pretty straightforward install. Watch through to see if they're worth the price over more budget options.

DFV is definitely worth it and I have them on e93 and se3p. But I hate that it requires frequent service, which basically all coilover factories recommend. So I now go to koni yellow on my S.
What do the sakebomb mounting forks do? Are they necessary?
definitely not necessary but they essentially shorten the strut at the mounting points allowing the car to sit lower, while not affecting travel. You can get the rear end lower. Stock is already maxed out.

did you have any issues with the lift being uneven?
I haven't experienced the kdss lean but some others have. i think it's more common once you go 3in lift and up. I could be wrong though

@@hzguzman89 i run it off my jackery 1000 and charge it while i drive. You can also buy a 12v splitter or wire up a secondary 12v in the back!

How’s the alignment since you didn’t do upper control arms(UCA)? I’m having a huge dilemma choosing between a 2inch and 2.5inch lift. People are saying you don’t need to but it’s recommended to do UCAs for a proper alignment for 2 inch and definitely required for 2.5inches+. I would do a 2 inch if it didn’t require UCAs and the alignment was rock solid.
2-2.5in is fine without uca from what i heard. But i haven’t had a problem yet
