My guess is they just go and by two scale models, one they aged and the other one is the one they show at the end. It is true that they do a very good job in the filming and the editing, but if you look closely you can catch the mistakes. And they show more at the beginning, because no amount of use or abuse and neglect, can render that hood with that kind of bend, or when he finishes the windshield it show a crack and then it does not! Good video! But just a scam!

Clearly, the two thousand dollar claim supports the picker mentality, but does the picker mentality support the restoration craft? I am not overly interested in the profitability of such restorations but am interested in the things that clever people do to restore something to worthwhile condition. What happened to that toy car to leave it in that condition can only be imagined. I have images of trolls with chains beating the poor toy car to the tune of "Hall of the Mountain King" or perhaps being boiled and then burned on set in a scene of the Disney classic "Fantasia."

These type of guys spend more time getting things to look shitty then in the actual restoration. I have no respect for them even if they have skills when they desperately resort to this nonsense. People who don’t have a clue seem to love it and those who know hate it.

Very ingenious use of a tea strainer and a torch. However I’m always torn on the restoration, because it now looks like a car that was recently made. It’s a great improvement from where it was until the final result, but its probably lost its value as a collectible.

As with all collectors stuff it is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it and I would give you 10 bucks.. good luck finding a chump willing to pay 2000 dollars for a tiny toy car

What's up with all the melted glue sticks all over the car , is it there to simulat spider webs 🤦

For the exhaust I'd use oil pressure gauge copper line , easy to bend and look more realistic and it doesn't look like electrical wire .

Beautiful detail work. I'm curious: why paint a Jaguar Ferrari Red instead of British Racing Green? National colors mattered on the track and Jaguars were iconic British racers.
