haha i was a bit overlevelled when i came through, true enough, but i generally find the wolves a lot more annoying in the overworld when you're trying to travel.

Thinking it through more a bit, i mostly have a tanks perspective and there is nothing spectial about the wolves on that side. No fancy mechanics just tank and spank. Obviously the heal can and probably will sweat. Having bards with shield and extra healing probably a must, but that's true for almost any good spots.

@@KeyserTheRedBeard thank you! most of the bards abilities only work for groups, not the whole raid so you'll need a lot. Yesterday I have had a grind group with 3 bards, and it was honestly fantastic. Bards really do shore up weaknesses with a group. Without going into minutia, bards just all around make everyone better. As for future content I'll try to grab a shortbow today, the only weapon I'm missing. After that it'll be grind spot video time, but that's a lot more involved

Your reasoning is perfectly valid. Unfortunately i don't have the depth of knowledge to comment on what is or is not viable in most cases. Regarding bard, however i know a little bit. You'll be running a lot of mana restoration songs in groups as that's the highest value add of the class. If you want to solo, you want to slow your enemies. With the bard you can kite mobs real well and I've had guildies who solod their way way higher than the rest of the classes. Please keep in mind, this is a group focused game. You can run solo, but it'll be a lot less fun.

@@Niloc1766 its too broad of a question to answer, but I think that the game can be a success. The MMO timescale is glacial, and ashes has the current best tech running it (unreal 5). This alpha 2 is most likely a vertical slice. At least I hope. Thank you for watching, and for your question

this SHOULD work but i wrote it from memory: step 1: get flawless ultrawide step 2: set up elden ring for it step 3: go into installstion folder step 4: rename the original" protected_game.exe" to "protected_game_1.exe" (for example) this way you save the original executable in case you want to play online step 5: copy and place "elden ring.exe" in place, creating "elden ring 1.exe" (usually this is the windows default) step 6: rename "elden ring1.exe" to "protected_game.exe" step 7: you should have now "elden ring.exe" "protected_game.exe" (the new you created from elden ring.exe" and "protected_game_1.exe"(the original protected_game.exe) step 8: if needed close & open flawless ultrawide tweak the settings to your liking (i recommend NOT lifting the fps limit from 60). step 9: start the game as normal, while flawless ultrawide is open

still works for me (2024 04 14). You need to prevent the game from going online. Also, try the latest flawless ultrawide patch, 1.0.15. Have the game in offline mode, don't perform MM & start the game with the eldenring.exe from the folder. should work.

@@TheHighborn The game is in offline mode, I can load up my save and it starts in ultrawide ...then after 20-30 secs, it resets back to non ultrawide. Game is in offline mode. I have Flawless running in the background the whole time but looks like the game files now detects the resolution and just overrides it back to non ultra wide. I just bought the game yesterday from Steam. And also running Flawless 1.0.15

Well, I exited the game, named the file start_protected_game.exe, didnt work, removed .exe, now it worked with no warning. idk lol

@@SorrowfulHallow idk man you gotta go to the settings and it'll say something like auto detect or manually set resolution. This is not the settings for elden ring but the program itself. Try either to get it working

Well, yeah. Ez Anti cheat, the software they use will detect tampering, ( that's why you need to do this fuckery in the first place), or that the game detects it's not running, and you get whacked. Not like it'd kill them to add ultra wide support natively...
