Em, before you enter a room. Wash hands then glove up you don't carry possible bacteria or infection from ward room to ward room, You don't touch any aparatouse that could potentially have infection or bacteria on them, Gloves should be warn at all times until such time you leave the room, Facemasks should be warn at all times, PPE aprons should be warn at all times. PPE foot protectors should be worn at all times, You never enter a sterile room then create the ambiance for bacteria to grow, All PVC beds must be disinfected, Including all touch aparatouse,,technically a nurse should never enter a room bar it has been cleaned disinfected before every shift start. These vidioes dont support curant modern techniques.

Educational, but from my experiences nurses in real life are not this careful and caring when positioning hospitalized patients. I hope all nurses or future nurses reading this will provide excellent care in a real life hospital setting.

Why TF can't they at least put lidocaine along the whole thing, and offer sedation? I don't want to be awake if this ever happens to me. I would rather die. Also, I literally can't believe how large the tube is vs the urethra. Why does the tube have to be so fking big? Seems like it's 10x the actual diameter?

As a nurse, I have to say there is one big mistake. You should to wear glow immediately when you start working with patient, no matter what. After you prepare the equipment you have to change the glows and start the procedure. If you do not have a glow when you prepare the equipment, you can transfer bacteria or viruses to the sterile tube, gases and other...This video is not educational enough. Sorry girl, I am working as an internal RN for 15 years and if I do the same you do, I lose my job as a nurse
