Thanks for the feedback Michael, I have to say I have been fly fishing for 59 years since I was 5. I just started using nymphs last season and it made a huge difference. this season I will be doing a fair bit of Euro Nymphing and looking forward to see the results. Best of luck in the draw.

Cheers Tony, the fish are always a blast to catch! This was my fist year doing videos now that I'm retired. I was uncomfortable at first but looking forward to next season.

Thanks for the feedback. I just really started using nymphs a lot this year and absolutely love it. It only makes sense when the fish spend 95% of the time feeding on the bottom that we stand more of a chance with a weighted nymph sitting or bouncing of the rocks on the bottom to catch more fish. Hi Ciaran, I hope you and the family had a nice Christmas. It was unfortunate our schedules were not matching up during the season this year. It was a tough year for fishing, but with some changes in strategy, it wasn't a total loss. When the season start up, I will get your schedule and get you back on the water. As you have seen, even when it's a tough year, I managed to find new places I had never fished and made it successful. Looking forward to getting out with you often in 2025. Please give my best to your family for 2025.

Hi Nigel, yes all three rods were 5/6wt with a 5/6wt forward line. When I did the video, it was in response to a few people wanting to try fly fishing and asking what they needed to buy. I thought this was the best way to show new comers a few options. the main point was this, You don't need to spend a fortune to simply gain 10 or 20 feet on a cast. When you look at my videos, most of the time I am on a narrow river with short casts where accuracy was more important than distance. I found the Amazon rod frustrating to use and control. After the demonstration, I ended up putting a new line on the Cabela Combo and I now use it a lot. The control in tight places with the right line works well. I only spent $40.00 on a new weight forward line, but a better line than what came with the combo.
