Sueños Grandes - Lalo Dávila
มุมมอง 2128 หลายเดือนก่อน
From the original solo "Sueńos" - Julie Dávila's "Impressions On Wood", Lalo Dávila has composed a percussion arrangement of this solo entitled "Sueños Grandes". This piece features a two-mallet marimba soloist, along with timbale/conga solos. This tune would make a great opener or closer to any percussion ensemble concert. #percussionensemble #marimba #marimbasolos

Solo for Marimba and Percussion Ensemble. This piece is in the style of a "Flamenco" and consists of eight performers. Four marimbas, bass guitar, and three percussionists. Lots of fun to play. The cajón is featured as well. A great crowd pleaser. Sure to have them standing on their feet at the end of the performance. #marimbasolo #cajonsolo #percussionensemble #percussionist #percussionista

    Have you played the malletkat, and if so, how do you feel the response and raw acoustic noise of hitting the pad differs? I REALLY like the price point of the Malletstation. But I want to get some opinions on the above. Thanks!

    HELP!! I have a question. Does anyone use a Presonus audio-box go? I am using a windows laptop, and whenever I hook up the audio-box I get intermittent static. If I don't use it then I get a slight lag in sound production from my mallet board, but don't get any static. If anyone has dealt with this issue, I would really appreciate how you resolved your it. I have tried so many different options but haven't found one that totally removes the static. Would appreciate any feedback regarding my problem. It would not be very professional to be playing out and have this happen. Thanks

    On the contrary to all the previous comments, its already a game changer as sales are skyrocketing amidst Texas bands. This is far more economic feasible for field bands requiring a multitude of field instruments. Plus its easier to sell the administration on this idea of $1,000.00 opposed to $4,000.00 for one single instrument. This is really a blessing for school bands when budgets become more stringent.

      @@monsterjazzlicks No, they're meaning that you have to have software on your computer that has a library of sounds that runs from your computer to the instrument. How did you miss the point that badly? jeez... Nobody asked about your speakers lol. how you gonna flex your speaker but not understand basic MIDI? i know like nothing about it but at least i know that

    Dear everyone, here is another example of "Play At First Sight". These are a lot of fun to play along with your student in a lesson or in a class setting by using an overhead projector with a good sound system. It is not a drum book. It is a book on how to read rhythms faster and better. Wind players can choose to play one note for the rhythms or two different notes (your choice) to make it more challenging. Singers can use any articulation they wish. String players can use up and down strokes for the two different notes. Pianist can use right and left hands for the two different notes.

    There seems to be a pretty consistent on the first note struck after changing sound sets. Is there a way around that? The "impact" is also fairly pronounced, is that something that can be fixed with a stand or different mallets?

    • @MattJordanPercussion
      @MattJordanPercussion 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      TapTap Percussion the delay is in GarageBand, not something caused by malletSTATION. Most software doesn’t have that odd delay on the first note. The impact sound is relatively loud because it’s on a table. Being on an x stand or the ES1080S stands is much better.

    • @mtsupercussion
      @mtsupercussion 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      The Mallet Station is really nor meant for a table. I just used the table because it was the easiest thing I had at the time. Additionally (apparently) I need to update the Garage Band which is what is causing a delay on the first hit. Check out Matt Jordan's full demonstration on TH-cam. Here is an answer to your question from Matt Jordan :Matt Jordan It will ship with Studio One from Presonus, and Mainstage is great too. GarageBand is only delayed when you switch patches, and I think Lalo is using an old version.

    • @xsiverider1351
      @xsiverider1351 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can also adjust the sensitivity so you don't have to play as hard as you would on an acoustic instrument. It takes a little getting used to. Softer mallets will mitigate the sound of hitting the instrument. Also, since you're going through an amp, in performance this will likely be louder than any sound you're making through the instrument. Routing it through a DI to the PA and no one will notice. If you're recording, you're not going to be mic'ing the instrument, natch.
