Battle of Alkmaar 1799 - Blucher Napoleonic rules
มุมมอง 1.7Kปีที่แล้ว
The Battle of Alkmaar was a very unusual Napoleonic battles because it involved an Anglo-Russian force fighting in the Netherlands! The expeditionary force was landed to try to knock the Dutch out of the war, but its advance had been blocked by Vandamme's French division, supported by Dutch troops. Thanks to the Hexes and Miniatures website for the scenarios for the scenario www.hexesandminiatu...

Battle of Dennewitz May 2021
มุมมอง 5703 ปีที่แล้ว
The Battle of Dennewitz was a decisive battle leading to Napoleon's defeat at the Battle of Leipzig. Ney's advance on Berlin had been blocked by Tauentzien's IV Corps, expecting massive reinforcements from Bulow before they are overwhelmed. Thanks to Old Meldrum wargames group for the scenario oldmeldrumwargamesgroup.com/b... The excellent Blucher rules are published by Sam Mustafa sammustafa.c...

Battle of Lutzen 1813, Blucher Napoleonic rules
มุมมอง 1.1K3 ปีที่แล้ว
The Battle of Lutzen was the first major engagement in the 1813 campaign of liberation after Napoleon's disastrous retreat from Moscow. The Prussians and Russians were allies, and hoped that a quick victory would bring Austria into the war. Ney's II Corps was exposed on the South East flank of the Grande Armee, and the Allies pounced, hoping to inflict a stinging defeat before Napoleon could co...

Battle of Borodino refight using Blucher rules at the Hong Kong Society of Wargamers on 27th February 2021
Great to see an Ottoman army in action. I love the cannons, seen some of them in the army museum in Istanbul. The walk up there half killed me, i didn't realise how far it was from the old city. Fabulous museum though! Adam
Ah sorry ah but ah the ah robotic ah narration ah it ah makes it ah very ah difficult ah to ah listen ah to ah 😢
Lovely video thanks for posting
SUperb and colorful units, nice looking game!
Like the campaign system and the way the Ottomans were able to hold on & wait for reinforcements, Many Thanks, 👍
I really like this. I have a 15mm Prussian Army that is still being built, but I have enough. My wife and I do others at home. I’ve been looking for the full rules with the cards to buy for this. Where can we buy the full set of rules with cards?
The music is not doing well for this period. It is anacronic !
Does anybody knows anything about the 123th Infanterie Regiment du linge during this battle? Especial about the first battalion because my forfather fought this battle. Thank you.
I'm just starting with Napoleonic miniatures wargaming and already sold for Blucher. Your very well done AAR further reinforced my wish to finally join the battlefield!!!
A nice report with superb and impressive units...a splendid and rare battle!👍👍
Where is the supporting artillery for both sides? What is the timeframe of this battle? The Prussians should only shoot and manuver better than the Austrians and Russians for the first few campaigns of the war only. Heavy losses had reduced Prussian superiority in training and shooting. Russian infantry of this period were relatively well trained and could shoot quite effectively as well. Rating Russians as conscripts seems to be more Napoleonic in nature.
Just a point of feedback: the difference in volume between the spoken parts and the music is quite substantial - e.g. 3:25 to 3:35
The French don’t like it up em! Hurrah for the reds!
do Maurice rules work for AWI?
do you have a pdf of your rules? would love read them, Great video love the miniatures😀
Excellent battle report! Thanks for posting this.
Excellent battle. Really enjoyed that.
Just found your channel, enjoyed the battle report, subbed
Any interest in a large collection average painted wargame mounted (not the brilliant turf grass on these figures [very jealous]) 25mm minifig French, Prussian, British - Line, Lights, Guard, Heavy Horse, Light Horse, Foot and Horse Guns Crews and Limbers? (in USA) AWI armies as well
Really enjoying these while painting. You have a voice for narrating. Have you tried Longstreet or Soldiers of Napoleon? I ask since you enjoy Maurice :)
We play now our second campaign with Maurice in the WSS, beautiful rules!
Like your background music for these reports.
Good report. Told me plenty about the rules along the way.
Enjoying your Maurice battle reports! Thanks … It is a great rule set. I use it for Marlborough.
Hi! Great video! I'm looking for opponents to play Blucher on Tabletop Simulator. I've posted on boardgamegeek but to no avail. Any suggestions where to find online opponents?
Great! I’ve not seen an SYW battle on you tube.
Well done, thank you. Well played match on both sides, and conceptually a very interesting "lessons learned" scenario.
Thanks for this, I've had the rules for several years but never a chance to play them. This gives a good view of how it plays.
That is a very nicely done AAR. Dennewitz is difficult to design as a scenario, it is interesting how Mustafas rules are used to slow down the french. And the link to the Old Meldrum group is highly appreciated
great stuff, your units came out very well.
Well done. Table a little too small maybe
Nice looking battle, we've played it with 15mm minis...SUperb units, +1!
Nicely done!
Ney fought bravely👍👍👍
Yes indeed
Nice report
is 👍
