Hello gentleman can you please help me my grandfather tomas touhy was a tinsmith. He is buried in st patrick's graveyard in thurles with his wife Catherine mcdonagh. Her parents are christy quinn mcdonagh & marnie/ manny mcdonagh. Ive found out alot about her but nothing about him . He had a heart attack comingnout of his caravan on leugh Road thurles. I only ever met him once . I was 8yrs old at the most . My grandparents were not aloud to keep their children. So my mam knows very little about her family. But now she knows at lot more about her mother s side . She is so upset to learn that alot of her mother s siblings were a live for most of her live . She hever had the chance to meet them . But she has met some of there children. As for my grandfather we know he had a lot of good looking fair haired brother s . We know that one called jack is in the same graveyard. She remember s her dad making cups etc out of tin , but she was about 3 when the nuns & police took her away . Also we know that my grandmother married twice her first husband was james mac cafferty . We know she married my grandfather at the county home in thurles is church . One of the nuns there called ann grey said she picked the flowers for her wedding. Thank you for sharing this it helps me to know something about my grandad s life . i remember my grandfather making an old bucket years ago he was from castlebar and making some cups and pots aswell he would of knowan those 2 men in this video I'm sure the man in this video t Collins man wud be a cousin of some sort 2 my great grandmother cos she was Collins
