Well, I installed this unit two or 3 months ago now and wanted to review FJTS-0814 and tell you my opinion. Still love it! So many new features that I really like. 1) climate control, 2) seeing complete music listed on the screen as I scroll up and down, 3) Sound quality and high-resolution graphics. 4) manual sound control and air conditioning control on the head unit as well as digital controls. 5) Everything on my phone is Bluetooth accessible to this head unit. (maps, Music, apps, phone list, on and on). Very pleased with it and worth the investment. Before I personally installed this unit (By watching this video) I replaced the stock FJ speakers with a slight 4speaker upgrade (2 door speakers and 2 dash tweeters) with no modifications or amplifiers. What a difference that made as well. With just one thumb drive I have all my music! 2nd thumb drive with movies and another thumb drive with audiobooks. I'm set! I do not know anyone at this company, nor have I received anything for posting, I am just a consumer who took a gamble and I am very pleased and wanted to share. Best...
For that kind of money, better off buying a Kenwood or Alpine

I did! I received my head unit 3 weeks ago. I ordered it off their website - fjmods. It took about a month and a couple of days to receive my package. It took about two weeks to get a response to my first set of questions. Before they shipped it out they gave me a heads-up notice. followed up 5 days later with a tracking number. Yes, it took forever. But I wanted it and I still think it's very cool. Do not regret buying it. Hope this helps...

@@lana-ivette I didn't go that way. I can use the one on my phone! I can give the new head unit voice commands and the GPS works awesome from my Android phone. I can use my phone wireless or wired. I would guess you can figure out how to attach a SIM card to this unit, but I haven't needed to. so never researched it.
I received mine a week and a half ago. It was on backorder for a month. I was really excited to finally get it. I installed it myself, took my time (2 hours) and the installation went flawlessly. No scratches- anywhere in my fj. It was well worth the wait! I really like the look and the stereo sounds so awesome. The clarity of the monitor is sharp and the head unit looks absolutely beautiful! Think the reason for the shipping delay is because so many people are ordering them. I was concerned about the sound quality, and quality in general not being a name brand. I am very pleased. For those of you who are thinking about getting one, I think it was well worth the money. Even though the system is extremely intuitive to use. It would be nice to have a manual or a website/video on what all the FJTS-0814 settings are. I generated a home screen art, custom for my FJ but still have to figure out how to download it into my car. For those of you wondering I have a 2012 FJ Curser TRD in mint condition (color Quicksand) with an up-to-date Head unit and stereo. Best...
How do you know it was on backorder for a month. Did they respond to you? Being late would be ok, wish they would let a person know. No response makes you think your being scammed. Besides that, happy you received yours. Got any pics of it installed, would really like to see it.
@@hotrod19561 I was thinking the same as you. It is only what I think happened. I think that the company doesn't have the manpower or anticipate the interest of this unit, which is why I assume the big delays. Can't keep up with demands. They did contact me eventually and answered my questions. I was worried, but also really wanted this very much. Figured my credit card company would have my back if the deal went south. Don't know how I can send you a picture but I will if I can. It's unlike me to wait a whole month but was glad I did! I really like it!!

i installed the same a few years ago and now theres a new one bigger better and it has real vol knob , etc....and now i want to replace it but i cant do it because if i change the radio 2 times i feel like an idiot...if you spend money in a car radio 2 times cause theres is something better in the market you are a complete idiot .....DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO NOW

Its actually 3... 1 reverse connection and then 2 Aux connections, I have the reverse, dashcam, and also an interior cam set up.

Can the radio amp support an after-market subwoofer in FJ with 6-speakers?
Would this work in a 2014 with the JBL subwoofer package? And do the USB ports for stuff like mp3 players still work?

You do not need additional wiring, all adapters and wiring are in the box
