Great video but l see no mention that it does NOT actually charge your iphone. We cut a hole in our fibreglass boat and now have tried to test the product and thought that it was faulty. Turns out this is a known issue by Scanstrut, yet you continue to advertise it without this disclaimer. False advertising. See quote below: This customer isn’t the first to experience this, essentially the Cove system is great for stationary charging as the phone stays still once placed ion to the charger if they are moving the phone will come off the charging spot. The new phones such as iPhone 14 etc have a large camera bump which can affect wireless charging connectivity, we’ve seen this in the cove and nest products, but not the active and nano etc where the phone is held onto the charger. If the customer has a case this can affect it too as the distance between phone and charger is therefore greater. Unfortunately this is a iPhone issue with the camera bump, but with the cove product accuracy is key. To resolve this we will be launching a triple coil solution in 6 months to help charging accuracy. I don’t strictly have a solution for this at the moment, let me know if there’s anything I can help with further. Still yet to be fixed....

Love this product! We’d use it all the time on our boat. Can you do aftermarket installs? Thinking mounting inside our stern storage hatch would be convenient but wonder about running power, etc 🤔

I'm confused. Why would the rubber have a tight, waterproof seal if the hole for the cable is .5mm wider than the cable. Shouldn't it be .5mm smaller?

Some clever tricks used, like with plastic bag to catch shavings and drilling the spool flange. Surprised you didn't use rust protection on he bare metal (bag could have caught potential drips too). If your product was easy to purchase, would certainly consider it.

Johan, If I understand correctly you installed the nylon insert that goes around the backstay and clamped the unit together and were still able to slide it up the backstay? Getting ready to install one and trying to have it all straight in my head.

Does it come with the solid rubber piece for the 2 wires? The 3 rubber pieces in the package look like they’re already drilled for a single hole.
