Yes - When I first started painting reborns, I bought my kits off of Amazon and wasn't aware of the difference between the authentic kits and replicas. Since I learned the difference, I have only been buying and painting the authentic kits. I haven't touched the replicas in over 2 years. So now, I have decided to paint them and donate them to a nursing home.
