Thank you! I prefer to throw with the wheel set for left handed, but there aren't a lot of good videos out there to show me how it's done. I appreciate this video. :D
I have struggled with this problem. The Texas White that our studio has requires a lot more wedging than the speckled buff clay we have. If I want to not have to fight the clay, I have to spend longer preparing the white than the buff.
I’m just starting out with throwing clay and am left handed. Have found your tutorials on left hand throwing the best I can find on YT. Thank you so much for such great demos!
I dropped a ceramics class last semester after failing miserably to make a clay cylinder. Now taking the same class with Professor Humberto Reynoso constantly put these videos in my recommendations is the class with him or do watch his videos!!!
I'm a pottery student and I think it is an amazing explanation! I appreciated it so much!!! Thank you professor Reynoso so much for this thorough explanation! I've been struggling with cylinders and this helps a great deal.
Did you pre weigh the clay if before you started and if so, how much clay did you start with? Is there info on how much clay to use to make certain items..ie plates cups bowls etc? Thanks again for sharing your knowledge <3
Best starter video ever.... not only about throwing left handed, but her detailed info on centering and opening are game changing for me ...I just finished my 1st 10 weeks of pottery classes and found out from this video I was doing it all backwards. I'm amazed I was having such good success even though I was doing it all wrong...I expect things will be much easier the next time I get on the wheel !!! Thank you for sharing your knowledge and this awesome video. Viewing angles and explanations were outstanding <3
