BKK Unzine is a digital magazine where artists publish their work based on a monthly theme. We also feature art events in Bangkok. A new issue is out every 1st of the month and you can visit our website to read it or subscribe below to receive it
Solo exhibition tour given by Alex GUST in Thai and English
We went to visit the new space “GalileOasis” in Bangkok to visit our favorite art book and zine store and to see Jam’s friend solo exhibition, his name is Alex GUST. This video was the tour the artist gave us of his artwork, his solo exhibition as Jam translated what the Artist was saying in Thai into English. Alex GUST studied at Silpakorn University he is an amazing draftsman, painter and an all-around nice guy to hangout with.

when is comicon in 2024? I am a comic collector from the USA living in Cambodia with my wife. I normally buy comics in the USA for my collection, but would like to know more about the comic scene here in Southeast Asia! Also can you recommend good comic book stores in Bangkok?
Our BKK Comics Art Festival is next month October 2024, the exhibition will be from 01 to 13th of October and the Convention where the artists will be present will be Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th of October 2024 at the fifth floor of Bangkok Art and Culture Centre. We have our own art studio now, Artists can come and work daily, for those who have a day job they join us every saturday afternoon

Just a question, are comic books often translated into Thai?
Yes it depends on the type of comics, in Thailand manga is very popular there are companies who only sell translated versions of manga series
