After hearing the famous one, this hurts my ears. There's just something about the second rhythm and pitching of that rhythm that's way off. (By second rhythm, i just mean the one that branches and drones from the main melody. I'm no music major so idk if it's technically another rhythm, but that's how I think of it)

Great singing, not so sure about the drum. Kinda broke the female voice tension imho.

Kudos! As an Indonesian, I give you all credit on the pronunciation. For foreigners, this is as close to spot on that you can get without actually knowing firsthand how it's spoken (at least that's my assumption). This is a language used by just a number of people living in the easternmost part of the Java island. So, bravo! Good job, director 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

this was beautiful, but their dynamics should have more contrast!!! right near the beginning when the lyrics say “closer you come to the songbird weaving, stronger the thread of the musics hold.” you should be much quieter, drawing the audience in, like you’re whispering at them to come follow you.

I still love listening to this. Singing this is one of the most special highlights of my high school experience and has inspired me to pursue Choral Music Education. There will always be a special place in my heart for choir at POBJFK.
