The source of the Urederra river is considered one of the most emblematic places in Navarra, and one of the most beautiful river sources in Spain. Carmen and I had the opportunity to visit and film it last October, and we were amazed! It is a place with tuffaceous formations, with porous limestone structures, waterfalls and pools of intense blue water that give the space its name (Urederra in Euzkera means "Beautiful Water".

The Nerva-Peña del Hierro-Nerva Trail (Huelva). This 11 km circular path runs through an old mining landscape that goes from Nerva (Huelva) to Peña del Hierro and back to Nerva. Peña del Hierro is an open mine measuring 330 m. in length and 85 m. deep. At its bottom is the source of the Tinto River, which is unusual for its colour, due to its high mineral content (iron sulphide pyrite and chalcopyrite, among others), and its variety of colours, of yellow and green, and tones, light and dark, depending on the place through which it passes, and the depth and quantity of water. It is very acidic, due to its dissolved minerals, which is why it does not play host to fish or encourage foliage on its shores. From its source, the Tinto River runs 100 km south through the province of Huelva to meet the Odiel River, which jointly discharge into the Atlantic Ocean, in the "Gulf of Cádiz".

The ‘Trümmelbach Waterfalls’ in Switzerland are a series of ten waterfalls within the mountain which are accessible by a funicular; then the tour begins by stairs (mostly interior) to contemplate the different waterfalls. The noise is thunderous both because of the falling water (20 m3 of water per second from the melting of the glaciers), and because of the rock debris that accompanies it (20,000 tons per year). It is located in the ‘Lauterbrunnen Valley’, which is known as the ‘Valley of 72 waterfalls’, only the stream called Trümmelbach drains the Eiguer, Mönch and Jungfrau gorges. The drained area is 24 km² , half of which is covered by snow and glaciers. ‘Trümmelbach Falls’ is considered to be the largest underground waterfall in Europe.

Introduction. Last June, my wife Carmen and I had the opportunity to visit part of Switzerland and France. We started the trip in Geneva, which is a very charming city, with beautiful gardens and monuments. Lake Geneva, which is more than 72 km in length and 12 km in width, belongs both to Switzerland, in its northern zone, and to France in its southern zone. The Rhône River empties into it at the eastern end, and the lake empties into the Rhône at its western end. On its shore are Swiss cities (Geneva is one of them) and French cities. The great surprise for us was, walking through the port of Geneva while contemplating its totally transparent waters, to see how a pair of Great Crested Grebes dived, one of them finding fish from the bottom and seeing how it calmly swallowed it. We were able to see other species up close, such as the Goosander (male and female) that we saw for the first time, a pair of Red-crested Pochards, a Eurasian Coot feeding its young, a pair of Mallard Ducks and several white swans.

"El Cañón del Sil" is a gorge excavated by the Sil River, in Galicia (Spain), near its junction with the Miño River, in the Ribeira Sacra area. The Sil Canyon acts as a natural border between the provinces of Orense and Lugo. This final stretch of the Sil River is more than 35 km long, with wide bends and meanderings, with impressive vertical walls (some rise more than 500 meters). It is one of those natural places that is worth visiting. It can be visited on the Sil River by catamaran or by road. Difficulties on the road may be poor visibility, since the ascent may be shrouded in clouds that rise from the river throughout the valley, or because the road is very narrow. According to some people “Only one car fits”, but when we did it by car, we passed other cars and caravans coming in the opposite direction and had to slow down even more, and let the caravan squeeze through but it is possible to reach the end. It is a journey that is worth doing, you only have to be careful and not be in a hurry. The clouds usually rise after midday or 1 pm, nature has no set schedule. Logically, the contrast is interesting: climb between clouds, ascend above them and finally see the entire valley clear.

How to help prevent forest fires (English subtitles). In 2017 there was a big fire in the Doñana National Park (Huelva, Spain) that had a great impact on us. Unfortunately, due to climate change and heat waves, every year there are large fires throughout Spain and the world. But what can we do? In this video I have tried to answer how ordinary citizens, who like to walk in the forest, can help prevent fires.

The Toxa river waterfall (Fervenza DoToxa) is located in Pontevedra, with the steepest drop in all Galicia, of 30 meters. It is spectacular when it rains a lot. You can leave the car in the car park and walk down to the waterfalls, listening to abundant birdsong on the way; it is a real pleasure. It is better not to visit it in the rain to avoid slipping.

The Arnoya River (in Galician Arnoia) is the longest river (84.5 km) in the province of Orense, Galicia. It originates in the municipality of Villar del Barrio, crosses the municipalities of Villar del Barrio, Baños de Molgas, Junqueira de Ambía, Allariz, La Merca and Celanova, finally reaching the municipality of Arnoya, and empties into the river Miño. On this occasion, I was able to walk along the river walk in Allariz, where the different ponds formed with stones caught my attention, giving rise to small waterfalls, which the grey heron makes good use of for fishing, as well as its calm and dark waters, where the trees on the banks are very well reflected. This dark background is due to the fires and the subsequent rains, with the dragging of the ashes that end up at the bottom of the different ponds. It is a pleasure to walk along the river walk, contemplating the landscape and listening to the relaxing sound of the water falling over the stones at the ends of each pond.

This grey heron is the only one that visits this area of the Arnoia river when it crosses Allariz (Galicia); it is a popular tourist place. In this area only catching and release of fish is allowed, as several signs next to the river warn. The grey heron is the only one that catches and swallows fish whole, as befits her nature and without being affected by the prohibitions. Every day she came to fish next to the restaurant where we were eating. Nobody bothers her and she has no fear. I filmed some scenes at 7 meters and I had never filmed a heron so close up. For me, recording her was a pleasure. These are the best 3 minutes, which I hope you like.

This national park is managed by the Cahuitas Indians; it is located in the Province of Limón, it has a long natural beach and there you can see: capuchin or white-face monkeys, sloths and racoons, among others. In order to avoid problems with the small poisonous yellow snakes, it is best to stay on the designated path so as not to have contact with them, it is a safe as long as you follow the rules.

This video was filmed-in March 2018- at dawn in the canton of San Carlos, in Alajuela province during our trip to Costa Rica. It highlights the view of the Arenal Volcano among clouds and beautiful bird-songs at dawn, which broke after a full moon.

These falls are considered one of the "Seven Natural Wonders of the World". It is made up of 275 jumps, and 80% of them are located on the Argentine side, the highest drop is 80 meters. You can get to know it by walking through three along, safe paths on the Argentine side. You will get wet when passing so close to the falls and you will hear a great roar of water falling into the void. In Brazil, you can contemplate the falls from a greater distance, which allows you a beautiful overview, there are also safe paths, and nearby waterfalls in which you will surely also get wet. In short, if it is a rainy year and you can visit both sides, they will be unforgettable visits. In these two videos I summarize both experiences and sensations.

The first time my family and I heard howler monkeys in Costa Rica was at the Hotel Cariblue in Puerto Viejo, in March 2018. It was before dawn and we were impressed. Later I was able to contemplate the other animals and birds of the place, such as the green frogs, various birds, butterflies and a hummingbird that made a spatial noise by moving its tail feathers to attract its partner. Finally, I highlight one of the slogans above the entrance door of one of the hotel's houses: "When you leave, do not leave more than your footprints and do not take more than your memories". Hopefully whenever we travel we are respectful, without destroying anything and without leaving garbage or polluting plastics after our visit.
