so I can see what you mean. yes they are a bit big but I'm not sure if you have ever seen the musical dear Evan Hansen, that is where this song is from. in the show there are these screens that are set up similarly to what you see here. the screens have a bunch of projections of a ton of different social media sites, txt messages and things like that on them through out the entire number, the meaning behind the song is that he feels like he's trapped behind the glass of his phone and that no one wants to be friends with him. so I think they were trying to recreate that it a way here.
