Beautiful bass! I to stop buying heavy basses long ago due back & shoulder problems (US Vet). I mostly went headless basses & guitars which made a big difference. Even if I buy a bass today with a head stock I keep the weight down to basically no more than 8lbs. I also have an a Alembic Epic bass which I love and its pretty light.

With respect to weight , have you tried the GR Bass Aerotech carbon fiber cabs ? I want to hear them at a professional show . I believe they are the lightest . Bass The World recently reviewed them . Stanley mixes in a guitar amp for the highs .
