2:38:32 - I generally get my students to start around this part. Of course the earlier sections are slower and great for putting i the finger marks, but 2:38:32 feels like the best starting tempo and you can then move on from there. Also, it's very interesting to see how much there is of "Bach's work" in this piece. It may seem difficult... but there are a few Bachian tricks that will make life/performing this piece easier! This seems to be set at A = 432 Hz which is much closer to the pitch that Mozart would have intended & recognis’d - bas’d on Leopold Mozart’s two tuning forks -one tun’d to C the other to A - both tun’d to the equivalent pitch of A= 432 hz (other cities in Europe had tuning forks set anywhere from A= 429 to A = 435 - but rarely anything close to the ‘ugly-modern’ A = 440 hz) good job for shewing the general public what a difference a closer & more correct late 18th century pitch actually makes !!

This is an *excellent* video! I show it to my students instantly when they go through this piece. I didn't have the luxury of having such a slow and fast example video. PLUS - I had to make my own fingerings for it. It's great that TH-cam videos (in regards to the violin in particular) have provided such a great method for learning new "difficult" pieces. There are few mistakes of notes. For example, in the bar 29 the third note is g#. In the second part there are other wrong notes.
