Bethany Bordeaux has been playing violin since her mom put her in lessons in January of 1985, and she has been performing for almost that long! In her sophomore year of college she began to branch out from her precise classical training to worship music, bluegrass, and other genres. In August of 2006, she moved to Nashville, TN to broaden her musical horizons. She currently plays with Christian author/songwriter Kelly Minter, serves on the worship team at St. Bartholomew's Church, and freelances with other artists including Laura Story and Andrew Peterson. She released her debut instrumental album, Songs From Along The Way: A Live Recording in December 2013 that CCM magazine gave 4 stars and kind words. She and her husband Keith enjoy traveling, reading, being outdoors, and spending time with their cat and flock of backyard chickens.

Songs From Along The Way Album: Printing Mixes
Came across this old video from when we were gearing up to release my debut album, “Songs From Along The Way.” My friend Adam Moritz produced and played on this record and sent me this while he was printing mixes in his studio “Launch Studio” in Spring Hill, Tennessee. It was such a sweet season and I’ll be forever grateful that we got to put this sentimental collection of music out into the world. Thought this would be a fun throwback to post. Thanks Adam for all your hard work and friendship!

Hymns From Home: Wondrous Love
มุมมอง 123ปีที่แล้ว
In the midst of a beautiful Maundy Thursday service, my music director and friend David Madeira asked if I would play an instrumental tune. I chose "What Wondrous Love Is This" and with no rehearsing, no charts, no prior coordination, David and our other colleague & friend Tyler Ewing came in on piano and cello respectively to give fullness and life to this incredible hymn. Thanks to Matthew Sh...

Hymns From Home: The Lord's Prayer [Madeira]
มุมมอง 684 ปีที่แล้ว
The lyric for this piece is taken from the passages of Scripture that recount when the disciples asked Jesus to teach them how to pray (Matthew 6:9-13 & Luke 11:2-4). This particular setting was composed by composer/arranger/music director Dr. David Madeira in 2015. As The Lord's Prayer is an element of our service that we sing weekly during Sunday morning mass, Madeira originally wrote this be...
Hymns From Home: 'Tis So Sweet [Vocal Version]
มุมมอง 1224 ปีที่แล้ว
'Tis So Sweet was published in 1882. The author, Louisa Stead, had lost her husband two years prior to it's publication and it is inferred that the tune came out of her experience with trusting Jesus through that season of loss. Unfortunately little else is known about her except that she later went on to be a missionary in Africa. The hymn-tune TRUST IN JESUS was written by American composer W...
