My first bike! My friend had the honda XL100s and taught me how to ride. We did a lot of riding together on those bikes when we were 14/15. Years and years later when it was all a distant memory he bought 2 of the same bikes again for nostalgia purposes. I'd love another DR125s, even though I'm addicted to my GSXR1000R... this is where it all began with me!
Thanks for your comment 😊
@GilletTDM thank you for making the video!

Wow,, Beautiful Looking Bike 👀🤠🇨🇦
I bought one of those used in 2003 with 5200 miles on the clock and sold it in 2012 with 98000 miles ! The carb needles were worn and needed replacement, but other than that it ran as good when I sold it as when I bought it I upgraded the fork springs, replaced yhe rear shock and jetted the carbs and of course swapped out the stock bars for a set from the Thunderbird which were lower and gave the bike a more cafe racer look Cosmetically I added black and white checkered tape down the center of the front fender, fuel tank and rear fender for an even greater cafe racer effect
Auslassventil rechter Zylinder ?! Sonst aber bildhübsch.

Он живой... такой,какой есть. Он НАСТОЯЩИЙ! Не накрашенный заново,а проживший жизнь. Уважаю. Сохрани его таким.
Gotten one myself last month (September 2023) too (Belgian here too!) from 1966 without sidecar, military model. I have never ever driven something so much fun in my life before. It's always funny how people look amazed or confused to see such a young guy (20) drive such an old motorcycle. My plan with mine is to convert it to it's German WW2 counterpart, the R71 for reenactment purposes. I had to convert it to 12v sadly because the 6v battery did not get any charge and the ignition light stayed on.. Can't wait to start driving it more soon

Nice sound motor.
That's an SP 125. Somebody just stuck a DR seat on it.
How you can say that? It has dr name on official registration documents
@@GilletTDM Somebody made a mistake. That's an SP 125. The SP 125 was the dual sport with the signal lights and speedo and and the street legal stuff and it came in that red. The DR 125 was the off road dirt bike and it came in white and blue. If you run that VIN number past Suzuki Company, they'll tell you it's an SP 125
@@skymningforelsket1302 That's weird 'cause I had the exact same bike in red and it was as well a DR125S - both on the stickers and on the documents. It was a 1982 model and a European bike. Maybe the designation of the model were different depending on the market they were sold into ... I miss this bike so much. It was my very first bike and I used to ride it every single day whatever the weather. It was an anchor but I was so young I thought it was a beast!!
@@411BLMPRO Could be! Euro models might have been different. I know for sure the USA 1982 DR125 was white and blue. They still make this bike...they just stuck an electric start onto it, disk brakes, and moved the transmission down to 5 speeds from 6 (don't know why)
@@skymningforelsket1302 It's a DR125S. They were available in black, red, yellow & white for the 1982 year.
My first real bike back in the sixties.
