Unless Nikkes themselves have a self modification feature hidden inside their bodies or Cores. I cannot think that every existing Nikke has the abilty to evolve. To some extent the can change the shape of their bodies like ordinary humans but is not like that every Nikke started like a plainless mass produced one and later become a more unique type nikke likes the ones we know. I think this evolution is a combination of having special body properties (Rapi is a unique Nikke and heretics are a combination of nikke and rapture tech with high amounts of nanomachines), a well developed personality or a rather powerful emptional burst rathet than a purpose (Rapi is able to burst into her new form because she finally realized what she wanted in a clear manner leaving her doubts behind meanwhile her previous transformstions/mode changes were just partial and somewhat forced, Marian and behemoth are more simple minded but is very clear when they updrade themselves both desired more strength to protect their comrades, and the heretics we already know have their personslities well established and their objectives very clear) and of course Vapaus spicing up maybe is required. If just a purpose is required lot of Nikke in public service Will already hace evolved as they pretty devoted to their Crafts and Jobs. To me self optimization is restricted to pilgrim clasified Nikkes.

Hey I'm not alone in coming to this conclusion! The fact that it's tied to a single elevator speaks of this. And maybe that the VTC was on to something, trying to create a doomsday weapon for world domination only for that to eventually backfire. Ironically, that led to the survivors becoming the central government and achieving world domination, just on a much more restricted scale. Unite it all. Red Shoes. That points to a deeper plot amongst the precursor humans from before the fall.

Behemoth stated that she actually felt her nanomachines gone out of order when come in contact with vapaus. She theorize that since there's no new order inserted on those nanomachines while in the process,the nanomachines simply died off and weakening heretic. That's why after behemoth receive second dose of vapaus,she manage to evolve thanks to vapaus(she literally took control of her nanomachines). The same goes to Rapi, she evolve bcuz at the moment she got captured ,leviathan tried to corrupt rapi by injecting heretic nanomachines in her. However when that happen,commander manage to mix his own blood at rapi while she engulfed in leviathan nanomachines. As result ,levi nanomachines in rapi gone out order allowing rapi/red hood to insert new order on those nanomachines. Basically,there's connection between vapaus,heretic nanomachines and nimph but we just don't know it yet.

Her new design is kinda boring. Reminds me of just ssg goku.

Y'know, I fell head over heels for Red Hood, in Red Ash, and in her chapters in the Campaign. Her personality, her strength of will, her simple small town perspective, and how human she was. Yeah, she's still in the summoning pool. Yeah, she's still huge, in Anomaly Interception: Ultra. But she's still gone, forever. Rapi is her own character. I love her, too, because we spent 34 Campaign chapters, and God knows how many events with her. I love how she's grown. Commander is the protag, but Rapi is the heroine.

That will be waiting for this 🤩🤩

All of this makes no sense as to why RAPI isn't an SSR RAPI is clearly the strongest nikke so why 😢😢😢

My own theory is that Red Hood's own Corruption fused with her NIMPH and she basically corrupted Rapi with herself. CH34 is basically Rapi undergoing her own Second Affection and evolving.

Grave technically also evolved. And that happened after a lot of hardship, amd focusing on her mission. Her body developed, to the point she could fight against a specialized model and pummel them to the ground despite lacking some parts and having a decaying body. Scarlet has also shown that her own body is kinda degraded too in thst one special encounter in the hospital with Mary and Pepper when they repair her body to the best of their ability because she doesn't have normal parts that could be replaced. And she still fights so strongly... And with Mana's Repairs, Grave is even stronger and can fight alongside all the others.

I know the story is ongoing, but they should really consider expanding this universe into other media like an anime series, movies, etc. It's a very fleshed out and interesting story i feel could gain more eyes on it if done right.

Now this is an SSR Rapi that was worth waiting for... at least for me... I don't need or want a cheap SSR Rapi... now she has purpose... also Behemoth, my beloved derpy heretic.. I hope you'll be pullable or able to be liberated one day.

There's a gotcha game called limbus company that Also has a transformation that characters can do that this reminds me of. In limbus company's setting there's a transformation that seemingly any character can undertake called E.G.O and its counterpart distortion these transformations are triggered in a very similar way and give the user a very similar abilities they are triggered by a person entering a state of despair that is considered worse by that person then dying then the person will undergo a transformation where an invisible barrier will protect them while they are transforming also during the transformation the person will be tempted by a soothing voice to give into that despair if they do they become a monstrous being known as a distortion when someone distorts their appearance is shaped by their trauma and in most occasions the distorted individual will go on a rampage but there are some rare cases were distortions keep control over themselves and can even hold a conversation with regular humans as well as some of them being able to take a humanoid form. Then their counterparts E.G.O users are formed when someone's in the middle of potentially transforming into a distortion but refusing to listen to The voice by choosing not to give them to the despair that they are feeling E.G.O users look a lot more human than even some of the most humanoid looking distortions sometimes simply looking like humans wielding incredibly powerful weaponry the main difference between E.G.O users and distortions isn't about power but about how much control the individual has over their mental faculties because E.G.O users from instance of transformation we've seen always continue on with their goal they had before they transformed on the other hand even the most sane distortions are massively different people than who they were before they distorted or at least have drastically different goals. Also in some instances via an unknown factor sometimes when people get E.G.O or they distort they fuse with some of the people around them into a singular more powerful being I assume this happens because of a powerful psychological connection between the transforming individuals. 11:47 That is not true. Cinderella had the transformation and rapture call ability right from the moment she turned into a heretic, she said so herself. So its more likely to do with how they were constructed, rather than anything else.

5:05 that is not true. Oswald had stated that the vapaus had killed 98% of the nimph in her body. The other 2% however, multiplied out to compensate the difference, to the point that Abe even stated that Cinderella is comprised almost entirely out of nanomachines, nanomachines that couldn't be considered NIMPH anymore. That by itself is evolution, by definition.

I was thinking about it and I have a few thoughts to contribute to the discussion. They might be a bit wild, but I am sure there is at least some truth to them. What do Nikkes and Heretics have in common and what differs them? First, what they have in common: A core. Second, what differs them: A Nikke can survive without a core (as seen by Rapi's decapitation and Red Shoes's core getting destroyed by Cindy), a Rapture can survive without a brain (as seen by Behemoth getting completely destroyed until she was just a core twice). I think evolution ties back to the core. The Commander was very right when he said maybe Rapi had some memories from Red Hood. I think the core is not only an energy source, but something made to help NIMPH and a Nikke's brain assimilate their bodily functions. And either the core has an AI that helps in this process or it managed to gain its own sentience assimilating the memories of its host. This is important because we know the incredible potential of the core, as seen by how much energy two cores can generate and how it can create/alter bodies out of nothing but itself (this also happens with Nikkes, as seen when Rapi changed into Red Hood). We once questioned how Marian could be alive after getting shot through the brain and I think this is the answer. She isn't alive. Marian is dead, her brain died. Modernia is Marian's core assimilating her memories and turning into something by itself. Thats what Heretics are, they are the core manifesting through an assimilation of Nikke memories and corruption. I think Cinderella is an exception to this and perhaps there are others, since she was turned into a heretic without the death of her brain. In a way, you can see it as Cinderella (the brain) vs Anachiro (the core). And evolution is something that affects the core, but its effects are different depending on the stregth of the host's memories. Ir the host values humanity, it will have a evolution like Rapi or Marian's. If the host is become distant from its own humanity, it becomes the various incredible forms the Heretics turn into. Last, but not least. I think the reason why Vapaus is able to do this is something that has been in front of us this entire time. Vapaus is a type of core dust, but in a different physical state. Vapaus is an enhancer of cores and cores only grow stronger assimilating other cores or information. This is why Nikke need both core dust and battle data to level up. Edit: Also, if this is true. Get ready for Heretic Rapi and perhaps Heretic Red Hood, since something will happen to their core left behind after Rapi's decapitation. Edit 2: The only thing I have no asnwer for is how a core can grow out of nothing as seen by Rapi and Red Hood,'s core regenerating in her new body.

The only problem I have with calling whatever form it was Rapi entered post ch 26, different from the one she used in the 1v3, is that she could not tell a difference between the two forms. When neon and anis caught up to rapi post grave fight, neon made the comment that she thought rapi could not access that overdrive form anymore, and rapi was just as surprised. The only comment she made that would imply a difference is that the form she used against grave was more "stable", not weaker (I believe her not becoming weaker is also why she was so devastated after losing to behemoth). Which, to me implied she was making that power her own, evidenced by her no longer needing to utter a command and very obviously what ended up happening with her evolution + her characterization in the new chapters. Also, I believe Cinderella did evolve, just not in the ludicrous extent the others did; there were multiple instances in the anni where Cindy made comments about feeling more powerful than ever after being affected by vapaus. Training to become stronger is out the window, she was held in captivity being tortured that entire time. This was also stated again after the "let's rewrite our story" goal. So it fits with ur "purpose" theme for the vid.

Great video. Do you have any thoughts about what will happen with Neon in the future? There is a lot of mystery surrounding her that hasn't been touched on (like why Ingrid assigned her to Counters). Since Rapi has gotten new form stemming from Red Hood and Anis is going to get one too, likely from changing back to her old body, that just leaves Neon. I was thinking that maybe she could take the Tactical Upgrade that was originally meant for Rapi.

DANGER: SPOILERS FROM THE 2ND ANIVERSARY Grave is Abe, a.k.a. the creator of Anachiro/Cinderella, the reason why she and Pine look so similar is because Abe/Grave has a Product 23 body too, all Product 23 Nikkes look the same, they may have different colors but all mass produced Nikke look the same because they are mass produced, so yeah Pine didn't look like that when she was still human and the same goes for Abe/Grave, they just happen to have a Product 23's face and hair. The same goes for all of the mass produced Nikkes, the face they have in the present isn't at all the face they had when they were humans, they can get a new face/hair after they become a SR or SSR unit but until then they're going to keep looking the same as the other mass produced around them, take Rapi for example, when she was a R unit she didn't look at all like the Rapi we know now, she was just another mass produced Nikke like the rest.

So nypur first threory that mankind cteated Raptures sounds plausible. No way they could reverse engineer and perfect Rapture technology enough to create the strongest Niokle, Lilith. It sppinds more like how some of the lore bits you pick up on some maps suggest that the big three are behind Rapture creation the same way some people are suspicious about how fast the Ark was built. How it all felt like someone from at least the big three, knew about the Raptures before the invasion. And the Rapture Queen on the space station above ghe space elevator suggests that an experiment went wrong up in space. In the earlier chapters some lore files found on some maps tell of how Raptures used the space elevator to invade. It seems like a runaway experiment. Like someone activated Skynet nit now thwy have to cover up the truth that they doomed mankind. Maybe the Rapture Queen having the Q-O1 number on chest suggests that she was the prototype Nikke that went haywire. Maybe that why they created the NYMPH to make sure Nikke never rebel again. Maybe that's why Vapaus is a threat to that control over Nikke, so much that they're willing to cover it up.

Wait, at the beginning of the game, did the Ark believe that the Goddess squad was still fighting on the surface? But this raises questions. Like why have the Nike who now go to the surface failed to *Encounter* them?

Grave is Abe. The Coffin she carries is a symbol of how she preserved Cinderella's body to make sure she can fix her in the future. Grave is also wearing the same Helmet that Abe used to hide her damaged face after the researches let her go after disecting her in the Ark.

A lot of factors got uncovered by Old Tales. So these are the most logical(unconfirmed by the way) reasons: 1. Central Gov can’t be trusted. With how desperate the CG can be at that time, Oswald probably knew that the Goddess squad would be subjected into experiments for Nikke development. 2. Nikke discrimination. Unfortunately due to Cinderella’s rampage, humans would fear Nikkes extremely and Oswald probably knew this as well so to prevent such hardships for the Goddesses, he lied to them to protect them from such animosity.

Spoiler I think Rapi was exposed to the commanders blood back when we went on the mission with war dress to capture chatterbox. There was a seeming unimportant scene when yuni pinches the commanders hand to hard and it draws blood,and Rapi treats it. She must have been exposed at that moment.
