Shape hype!
Really cool stuff! You are obviously very good at the game and has helped the community so much (specially english speaking)! I am a beginner and saw your beginner videos, but they are always a bit hard to follow... This is not a criticism since I get your "vibe", but ..here is my cry out: it would be so great to see you slowly explain things, slowly explain your thought process... The improvement in didactics would make you a gold mine of Go knowledge. Keep up the great work and thank you for taking the time.
Ty, i plan on making videos like you describe when I have time =).
Hi, im a beginner and I'm wondering if you have context for "takes point" Part of "takes points and then invades". Thank you in advance for replying!
Its hard to explain over text but taking the points and finishing the last bit of buisness before starting new buisness is generaly better
I don't understand ANYTHING said here, what kind of begginers are you teaching???
I have no idea how any of that helps me as a new player. Why do those games have so much empty spots left? Are they finished? Do players just decide to stop playing or what? why?
GoMagic's insistence on using Ai images has pushed me to look for other creators in the community, and you two are the silver lining. Keep up the great work!
81 lions? The book title author 🙏
awesome
Interesting remarks. Especially about weak groups.
Excelent video.
37:54 Really good idea!
Good lesson I learned, thank you!!
Glad it was helpful!
Great video thanks.” Follow the shape” a new proverb for me
Sorry, it could be that i'm *too* new to Go to get this but nothing you talked about made any sense nor was it informative. You just zoomed around throwing stones on the board and now I'm even more confused. I hate being "the stupid idiot" but this video did nothing to help me become a better beginner.
Whats your rank?
@@JayStrategy Uh... Beginner? I have no idea what my rank is because I literally just started playing and looked up "Beginner Go" and this came up.
Yeah ok, makes sense that you didnt understand. Since Go is so abstract, we should have diffrent terms for videos at this lvl. Try searching, Ddk or 25 kyu videos. (Ddk is double digit kyu)
@@Khontis Yea.... The biggest problem is that a lot of people go off on "Beginner" stuff but they're really shitty at actually calling "Beginner" stuff for legit beginners like you. (By the way, if someone asks your rank just say 30 Kyu until you go to a full ranked match and get a proper score, that'll help sort you to a GOOD teacher) This is more 1 Dan stuff which is way above your level so nothing this guy has will be of use to you until you've already mastered the game.
This is nowhere near 1d stuff. I am not even 1d myself. This is 15kyu to 10kyu. Which is still considered beginner
Thank you for this video. I had fun making it
Thank you for the knowledge!

Great lesson! Than you :)
Glad you liked it!
Please don’t blow into the microphone
If white can take 2 opposite corners typically black will not be able to pay the komi
Love more 9x9 though
It’s so quick and choppy. Seeing it to half speed makes it better
Yeah wanted to try out a really fast pace
This video will hopefully turn into a short at somepoint with the new youtube update.
atari??
Lol why did it take so long for anyone to notice that mistake.
nice name!
Like the comment if you would of watched more of this if the sound was fixed.
Looking forward to more of these! Great talk! Do you use something that cuts out the dead air automatically or do you do it yourself? Feels like it's cutting too often and too much.
Mix of both. Used a new tool on this one and it was not great, often left those clicks you hear. Its better after the 20min mark. I am may start over with this edit to fix the sound. But its alot of work.
@@JayStrategyJust finished, still very listenable and it does get better after the opening. Nice work!
What do think? More like this?
you might want to update the thumbnail, three of the 5 are illegible in it
Eh makes things more interesting. Wait til you hear that diffrent people are getting different thumbnails.
@@JayStrategy fair enough, you asked for feedback on the edits, in my opinion they're a bit tight, i wouldn't cut out half second pauses in your speech, makes the pace a little relentless
@@sovietblobfish yeah even I felt that. There is a balance there that i need to hone in on.
Nice video! I enjoyed the edits. Really interesting watching your thought process. I think your opening and is strong and reading seems good for your level. Thanks for the content!
Thanks. I am confident in my opening. Always thought my reading sucked but turns out i was just reading the wrong things.
@@JayStrategy Yes, I think your intuition needs work. Most people that I see around your level on OGS have better shape instincts, but can barely read.
I am reading "making good shape" i hope it helps
Hey folks - Let me know what you think of the edits.
What a super nice video, I'm glad I came across your content, and these commented games help a lot for a beginner who doesn't even know what to do lol
Glad to hear it!
Hey this video is better then I remember it being.
cool to see you back, do you think you'll do 9x9 stuff again?
Yes. Planing a 9x9 video for release in 2 weeks. (Maybe)
@@JayStrategy hell yeah, 9x9 is such a beautiful phone booth fight, and its so rare on youtube!
love ur content, i'm from Thailand and playing Go too!
Congrats with a daughter!
Test this premiere thing. I dont think ill use it often.
I think it good but idk cool to watch it with other viewers
@@Fischstick Lol I completely forgot I had this to release- got so busy working on something else.
bro is back 😭😭😀
Thank you for the shoutout! Much appreciated 😊
very cool vid, thanks :)
Glad you liked it!
I know. Ill try to fix it next video.
