Hey man, really enjoyed this little cover, there’s always very pretty and delicate melodies underneath the ocean of distortion in vothana. What’s the tuning but the way? Starting to learn guitar, I may be trying to run before I can walk but too desperate to play a black metal riff in whatever form.

You should try learn some songs from vua quong trung. I can never quite figure them out. Think I'm getting the bass note wrong. Trying to learn nguoi anh hung atm. So hard to hear exactly with the recording
I learned whole track (except bass line) from it - "Rut Guom Vao Vo". Going to record it, but hope to finish full version of "At Our Side Or Beneath Our Feet" first.

@@nicholasward8358 Oldie but goldie! I prefer this vintage stratocaster (neck pickup) for some vothana's riffs. It gives solid and thick, but readable tone that's good for massive chords I used for vothana riffs. In other hand you have to hit the strings really hard to get the tone out of these vintage single coil pickups.

Yea, have to be patient and should listen track many many times to get closer to original. I love Vothana and it's riffs. I think its just perfect blackmetal, so I feel really good when I can play it well and its sounds like original.
