This is in China, but it's probably because Crypton knows Miku is more popular in Asian countries, so they know they can't half-ass it. That and they put on shows in many different cities in NA, most of them only a day or two between each other, meaning they were probably in a rush each time to put up the stage.

​@CherryCherub97 Best answer I've read. It had to be insane to set up the projectors needed to produce a 3D show like this, not to mention syncing everything.

@@royrobinson9212 I wonder if syncing makes that much of a difference, since the LED footage needs to be synced as well. I have a feeling the projectors are connected to a computer, so if one is synced, all of them probably are. But I'm no expert on this so I could be wrong.

@CherryCherub97 I was more thinking the live band members. THAT would take syncing to a new level and, if you watch the drums, they really are playing.

To be fair, Meiko only got censored because she was too sexy for China 😅 I think Magical Mirai 2023 had much better song distribution between the Vocaloids. Meiko, Kaito & Luka got 2 solos each + a duet, Rin & Len got 1 solo each + a duet with each other and a duet with others, then the first encore song was a group song - Miku.

It felt like an automatic compressor/limiter is placed. Someone is definitely tired of mixing. Lotsa loud segments were suddenly soft but when it's solo time it suddenly went loud

I think when miku and the others sing, the audience recording will be turned off.. and only use the song's voice recording to be used in the video.. it's strange why they do that. stupidly they cut the scene and show the audience instead of letting their enthusiastic voices.

She did perform, her song was just cut in the broadcast alongside vampire due for being inappropriate.

​@@mitsubachi3616 Miku Expo couldn't even show close-ups of Miku in the Magical Cure Shot recording because she was so pixelated. They zoomed in on her face at Coachella and you could see each pixel.

@@CherryCherub97 Couldn't go in person huh, I don't ever compare the recorded footage because it always looks shittier than in person. As someone who's been to both Magical Mirai '23 and Miku Expo '24, I personally prefer the LED screen to the projection on glass. The poor staging for Expo was always the issue, not the screen itself. It's a projected image on a screen regardless, the only difference is a glass screen vs a LED one. In person, the glass screen is only good from a distance- the image becomes blurry the closer you are to the stage and can look distorted from an angle. While the image also looks distorted from an angle with the LED screen, you don't get the blurriness from being close to the stage. Not to mention the glass screen ALWAYS washes out colors more than the LED did.

@@mitsubachi3616 No I couldn't go, because they never come to my country. I was thinking of going to Miku Expo in Europe this year, but with the inflated ticket prices I felt like it wasn't worth it, especially after seeing the poor stage set-up and the song list (wasn't to my taste). I would have gone if she came to Scandinavia, but it seems like Crypton has no interest in holding concerts here. I can understand that people prefer the LED screen if the projections are blurry at times. I wish they'd either put up some kind of background behind the Vocaloids though, like the latest Sekai concert did. Or they could use those transparent OLED TVs that have been developed lately. I feel like they won't do that though, since they seem to be putting less effort into the concerts overall, even the Magical Mirai ones. I miss the days when Miku introduced the band, and the Vocaloids would walk on/off stage or move into position for the next song instead of always just poofing away.

Those are stupid reasons for censorship.
