The effect is called halation. It can also be added in post with "film look" effects.
Correct ✅ and in some cases the software generated filter is effecting all the aspects of the footage that’s why I recommend using the physical filter, However your comment made me glad 🙏🏼 thank you

GH5 is the GOAT for real, it still packs a punch even if it was launched 7 years ago. For me it's better than the BMPCC4K because you can use the GH5 almost at its full potential without anything else (body and lense only), its "run and gun" qualities are second to none for a camera that came out in 2017, unlike the Black Magic that requires a lot more gear to use it fairly well (needs an external power input, its internal battery life is really short, no stabilization, almost impossible to shoot decent shots handheld, not weather sealed etc.).
