Knit in the round purl seam mattress stitch reinforcement
มุมมอง 1002 ปีที่แล้ว
When knitting in the round a purl stitch is often used to represent a seam at the sides, or along the underarm edge of a sleeve. Doing a mattress stitch by hand on to connect the bars on either side of the purl stitch decreases stretching and creates some structure to the area where a traditional seam would be if knit flat.

excited to find this today.
can you help with mine please.
Ronna, I am so thrilled that I found you! I have looked everywhere on the Internet to find some good descriptions of needlelace. Yours is the first video I have found that actually shows me very clearly how to do the Brussels stitch, and even some wonderful variations! I am so thrilled to have found you. Please keep posting more videos. Thank you!
I’m glad you found the videos useful. I don’t make lace anymore. I find it very hard to see the small thread now. Once you get the hang of it, I’m sure the other stitches will be easier to learn from videos.
Your room looks great
