Cold morning start! Main jet is 115 ( aftermarket) and pilot jet is still 35 but (aftermarket as well) own pilot jet did look kind of fishy to me ! Hole seems to look so tiny so i decided to go with aftermarket one the one I bought off Amazon! Starts with first crank every time so far so good!!!

@@andrewseamans1419 I never loaded full ! Just trying not to over heat ! I’m so picky about it! Usually I throw couple logs in there and runs me about 4 hours or so! Lopi is one of the best brands

How are you finding the performance, especially the ground speed and smoothness of the controls, now that you've had the unit a while?
@@MichaelPaul-m1g about 4 months now ! I got all the information from manufacturer! Now I just learned and fell the machine!!! Ground speed about 4.6 mph
@@KUBBI7488 I apologize for not asking my question clearly. To rephrase... Now that you have owned the unit for a while, what is your level of satisfaction with the operation of the machine? How do you like the operation of the pilot controls? Are they touchy or forgiving .. i.e., are you able to reverse the inside track when making a turn so that ground tear out is reduced, or does the track on the inside of a turn always lock up and tear out the ground surface.

It looks like the coolant overflow/fill tank is located under the dash area, behind the pilot control. How is it accessed ... does the dash flip up?
@@MichaelPaul-m1g you can rich it under the hood with a hand pump if you need to add any cooling! Now newer v1000 has access panel back of the machine for cooling

@@MoiseNiculcea Perkins provides more torque and lower rpm ! and quieter
The oil drain plug on the Perkins is located below the dipstick, I believe. How is the accessibility to the oil drain plug and does it have a quick drain tube like the DRT450 has? Also, where is the hydraulic fluid drain plug located?
@@MichaelPaul-m1g check my other video ( simple things to know about v1000) Oil drain plug bottom of the engine! You ll have to remove excess panel under machine to get to it
@@KUBBI7488 Very helpful. Thanks. What manufacturer did you purchase from? The hydraulic lines on each side of the cockpit seem to be sleeved in a fabric but I'm not seeing that feature on the videos from Derette, Hitop, or Infront.
@@MichaelPaul-m1g some of them do wrap it some don’t ! You can request for it ! Derette is the manufacturer

I'm looking at the various ones on the deretteloader website. I saw another video of a guy with the 450 and it's hydraulic radiator faces to the side. I'm wondering if that V1000 is blasting your legs with hot air or if it is blowing towards the front? I live in Texas, so it's way too hot to have extra heat blowing on your when working in summer months.
@@modsquad8u no problem at all! It blows to the front or the machine!!! I have used it 90+ did have any issues!

@@KUBBI7488 nope three pumps is not professional system it will be two or a tandem variable displacement pump with PTO pump on the end this is the professional high-performance system usually the Chinese units do not come this way

That is the machine I tried to get but I could only find a high top hitch the diesel it didn’t have the tracks that widen but I got the swing boom I still want the ht 18 just like the one you have! I do have the hydraulic thumb. I have had to replace 2 main feed hoses to the travel blade and thumb because they had pinholes one o ring in the blade valve body… lord knows how many bolts and hoses were loose…. And it’s almost impossible to keep the tracks tight unless you put blue lock tite on the jam nuts…. Oh it also came with the quick disconnect bucket attachment. Got a really good deal it was delivered from Memphis tn to Long Beach Mississippi….
Sorry to hear that! My machine has zero problems! Sometimes they give you a great deal for the lemon machine the one they want to get rid of !

On the water separator when you drain it did you leave it empty or did you refill with something.

to be honest not a singe problem!!! Solid machine ! I have ordered couple of gas machines from manufacturer to see it myself as well!
So they are different, one is a 35s and the other just a 35. The "s" stands for small and had to do with as you mentioned in the video, the emulsification holes on the side of the jet. More emulsification holes means more air. If you want it to be rich then go with 35s, if you want lean then go with 35. If you open air box and exhaust then you will want the 35s for more fuel and idle - 1/4 throttle. Also if you hold the jets up to a light you will see the center bore hole is the same, the hole under the screwdriver slot has nothing to do with the amount of injection. I went through the same thing as you. I went with 115 and 35s since I have more open intake and exhaust and it runs great

Use OEM jets it will save you time in the long run as they are true to spec. The aftermarket jets are inconsistent with there machining and have your jetting all over the place.
With oem jets always hard to start ! With aftermarket jets starts half a crank!!! So you decide !
