Counting Crows is my everything. Their music soothes and exorcises all emotional and mental pain from my body; sorry, but their music is more effective than attending church service or reading the bible; not that I hate God, because I don't. I'd give up the Crows if I had to choose. I've been a fan of Counting Crows since the release of August & Everything After. I remember buying the album on cassette with my father (who passed away 4 years ago--love you Dad) when I was 11 at a now defunct music store--Planet Music. Today they are building "luxurious condos" in the empty lot. Anyway, I first saw them in 2001 at night on the beach. From then on I've seen them 8 times, met the band once, and Adam 2's. Since my life has been difficult--many losses, failed relationships with women, CC's music makes me smile and gives me hope for the future at 35. These guys are a gift to us all!!
Dude or Dudette...At 35, your life hasn't even started yet. Whatever losses you've had will shape up; you'll never get over them, you'll get through them. I have faith in you. I'm glad a complete stranger finds solace in music. Any music at any time, day or night, music is always on the job. Talk about emotional first responders, that's a job for my record collection! Right now, during a pandemic, I'm counting my blessings and forgetting about whatever has cursed me. Leave the "luxurious condos" to someone else. Going to church and reading the bible are actions. Connecting with the healing power of music is the reward for your faith in it.
