0:51 I love how they showed the original 5 Autobots and the original 8 Decepticons in the Bayverse. It's such a nice touch. I love Transformers (2007) and it was the only film in the Bayverse that was as good as the toys and games; it's how I remembered Transformers in my childhood. It's just a shame the writer's strike ruined ROTF's script and it started the downfall of the film series. One more thing, it's so awesome seeing Bayverse Megatron in anime form and they gave him a cool scene too. I forever love this incarnation of Megatron and he deserves more love from old-school fans, especially since Bayverse Megatron did make an impact on the fictional character, becoming the inspiration for some of the future versions of Megatron (such as in Animated, Aligned Continuity, Kre-O, Bot Shots, and more).

My watch of Kamen Rider Black RX has slowed down considerably and much of that might be down to what I call the 'Full House' vibe of the show. Don't get me wrong, the music and action are aces, but there's this cheery vibe that I'm still not accustomed to yet, and the fact that Kotaro's a bit dickish to his GF (who the writers keep making into an airhead) is kind of souring it for me. A nice and tidy video once again Buster. Will keep an eye out for more!

This is wild to see next to a recommendation for your video on Look Back. You utterly fail to understand why anyone would want to do something with their work but instead insert your own "passion project" narrative. If this says anything about the 199+ other videos on your channel, you seem to create for the feeling of having said something even when you have nothing to say. A video that "points out your feelings" when actually your feelings are as shallow as a cup of spilt water on a hardwood surface. No talk of what you found interesting about what the game says, why it could be that they want to make an update. Just boring drivel "Why bother" the same sentiment that reflects in your work. The lowest of effort says nothing, not even critique can be found in this video. "The game is clunky and I think it's poorly written" GREAT. HOW? Examples? Elaboration? Nope here we just say it and expect you to magically agree. The fact that this video was prefaced by "200 videos of varying quality" shows how dissatisfied you are with your own work. Then.. why not make something you're proud of? Something you can look back and say was worth the effort? Is it better to sit around putting no effort in and hoping that people will care? It doesn't even have to be long, the best video I've made is two minutes shorter than this and has more to say about a game with less text and less gameplay than YIIK. So.. Why do you draw?

Great video man and honesty as for me shadow the hedgehog is my all time favorite character in sonic franchise but that’s just my opinion.

Great video. Shadow isn't my favorite character, but he is easily, one of, if not, the most complex character. His characterization in Heroes, alongside the amnesia subplot he'd carry into his own game, would work to help him grow further. Throughout the game, he had no idea who or what he was, but it was clear that he was probably having some identity problems, due to his loss of memory, as well as seeing a broken robot that looked just like him after the Egg Albatross boss in Bullet Station. He keeps up his cool front, but there's no telling what was going through his head after seeing that. Towards the end of the game at Egg Fleet, Shadow begins to make peace with himself, accepting his name regardless if he is the original or not. I agree his own game can be frustrating. In a sense, this game cemented that the series would be taking a significantly different direction from its predecessors, with SA1 and SA2 setting it up. Even though I've had a shift from hating it to defending it, I understand why folks would be burnt out from it. However, the game really isn't as try hard as it introduces itself. Shadow never uses guns in the cutscenes. The constant swearing, as well as the cutscenes that the fans point and laugh at, are more a product of the dub than anything else. The portrayal of the story is a mess. The mission structure makes following these threads in a single play through next to impossible. However, once you piece it together, it's not too bad. Also, the game does Shadow's characterization well. Yes, it does have scenes where Shadow declares he'll destroy the world, except that is Shadow after being coerced by Black Doom throughout that pathway. Throughout the game, Shadow is a blank slate due to his amnesia. He isn't really hostile or aggressive towards anyone in cutscenes unless backed into a corner. He is shaped by the people and situations around him, as he doesn't remember the experiences that made him a hero. In the end, upon learning his entire past, he is disgusted by it, wants to throw it all away, take out Black Doom, and ultimately choose his own path. He no longer needs to say, "This is who I am". He no longer lets anyone tell him who he should be. Furthered in '06, where Mephiles tries to persuade Shadow to join him, showing that humanity would ultimately imprison him forevermore. Shadow outright refuses, calls Mephiles out on his BS, and later dropping the hardest line in the series, "If the world chooses to become my enemy, I'll fight like I always have". Shadow would be largely absent from the series, only really popping up in spinoffs and boss fights. Make sense, considering from SA2 to 06, he got a lot of coverage. Shadow Generations has the best story the series has had in years, and it is not even close. From the short interactions between characters, to the choices of bosses tying into Shadow, to how Shadow's emotions are portrayed throughout the whole thing, it is a treat for new fans and veterans who have been around for decades. Really hoping Sonic Team doesn't pull a Lost World again.

We just know that shadow is gonna kill it in sonic 3 he is no doubt gonna be break out/highlight of the movie 2024 is the year of shadow, it's shadow baby speed for a ride

Bit sad you didn't go into '06, because Shadow was honestly the best part of that game. Yeah the vehicle sections can blow me, but his story beats and characterization as a hero who fights for a world that would turn its back on him more than make up for it.

Tbh i think it would do power rangers good to just, be it’s own completely original thing. I def had fun with Jungle Fury and RPM as a kid, but kinda don’t respect the franchise as much knowing how it’s built on taking suits and fight scenes from sentai, like the only way for sentai to be palatable is to scrub everything Japanese from it. My pet peeve is the mild obsession people have about how this or that sentai should be adapted into power rangers; sentai should be valued as it’s own thing, not as potential source footage that’s going to be Frankenstein’d together for an American show

something interesting regarding abaranger: yasuhisa furuhara (go-on red's actor) has a youtube channel where he interviews other sentai actors. Kotaro Tanaka (mikoto's actor) was on an episode and provides some insight on the behind-the-scenes of the show. While I don't think he mentions toei threatening to cancel sentai, he said he was surprised when he was told his character was going to turn good. He was actually against the idea when filming, but likes it better in hindsight since mikoto dies at the end (he thought it would have been too weird for mikoto to just end up being buddy-buddy with the other abarangers). The thing that bewilders me about as much is cast statements and some foreign broadcasts did indicate they did indeed dub the whole show, but nobody could find any recordings or releases of the broadcasts. Then completely out of the blue someone releases the dubbed version of the finale on TH-cam.

Season 4 was great, though it's unfortunate the show got cancelled prematurely. This season was clearly meant to be a relatively more lighthearted middling season (of the planned 8), but now it has the unfortunate attribute of being a sort of anticlimactic conclusion to the show. On it's own, though, I adore this season so much and Ryan in particular is so near and dear to me

Jetman saved the Super Sentai so we can get power rangers it should have been the first power rangers season nothing wrong with Zyuranger but it didn't leave an impact on the Super Sentai and if since it was a success in Japan I think us over here with definitely love it

as much as i wish we got the rest of changerion + the sequel series, there's such a chance we never could've gotten *that* ending... I'm dying to know how toei would've tried to give it a bigger plot beyond Shinohara's concept art, but the contrast between those final 8 episodes is just, such peak Inoue. it's genuinely one of the best endings he's written. crossing my fingers for a changerion 30th I still think it's so ironic how despite featuring/being inspired by the Sega Saturn it only ever got one weird little game for the Sega Pico lmao
