@@McDonnellDouglasMD-- you make some valid points, however i’ve come to agree with the xplane community, Austin is holding it back. He is so focused on one element that being the flight model, that in every other regard, Xplane fails. This is why Microsoft has such a large audience, asides from the Console and PC playerbase, Xplane does not compete. The lack of graphical development in 14 plus years, running on a game engine that was pushed to its limit in Xplane 11 is as bad a decision as Fallout 76. Xplanes failure to make it marketable, especially releasing a game 2 years after 2020, and having Xplane 10 graphics, led to every developer leaving Xplane except a a minor few. Worse part is, having to buy everything, and needing a tech degree because you yourself have to sort the .ini file in order to have a good experience. MSFS2020 was meant to compete with Xplane 11, and Xplane 12 was meant to compete with Xplane 11. You cannot even do a major part of flying in Xplane, VFR. Xplanes complacency, led to MSFS2020’s amazing rise (after another failed launch, 2020 launch was really bad). The problem is Xplane 12, did nothing, and Microsoft just does not have to care, because whats Xplane going to do lol. Hence Microsoft’s monopoly on both playerbase and developers.

@@TazziedoesWT to be honest with you, I don’t know much about xplane as I have been a long time prepared user only got pull into xplane 11 last year and I’ve enjoyed it heavily I just got X plane 12 this year and xplane 12 graphic wise and everything else to me looks very good. It even to me looks like it can compete against Microsoft flight simulator 2020 and 2024 but that’s just my opinion. I don’t know much about what it takes to develop. On X plane let alone anything else about it but I would really love to see some good competition and I mean I don’t know how many developers xplane The only one I know of that moved over was just flight and INIbuilds but INIbuilds Over mainly because then now a first party developer and it’s clearly evident that they have a better SDK kit or understanding of the simulator because they work closely with the team Even though from videos I watched they were nicknamed the PMDG of xplane There A300-600R meant to get a massive improvement and then upgrade that UPS has on their aircraft but that’s not anymore Thought I reckon and I believe personally xplane can be a very good competitor to Microsoft it’s just they need more developers to develop aircraft I feel other than that I don’t know So everything is that I’m just gonna have to take your word for it to be honest because as I’ve said I use prepared a lot and I’ve been prepared P3D V6 is a fantastic iteration of the prepared line and it’s got so much potential Like the other day I went to check something on it because I thought I done something wrong and certain visual bugs are just not there and I thought to myself this simulator keeps showing me that it’s got potential every damn time I keep thinking prepared. It’s just out of the game .But that’s my honest opinion So at the end of the day I hope we get a competitor to Microsoft simulator. If not I don’t like the future we’re going down because if there’s no competitor that means they don’t have to do shit or car as much. I just need to make it work unbearable and if it comes to PlayStation and Nintendo switch to then all bets are off .

@ dude same, 2020 wasn’t very exciting but every flight in 24 I find myself making it right as the sun goes down to see all the lights. Idk what they did but it’s so convincing

@@budgetflightsimused to hate the timezone difference/when I got free time it was always night In Aus and I really wanted to just use live weather etc in 20’. But now… oh boy has that changed!

When you are trying to set up controls in a very tedious and bad set up system, camera set up is the last thing my fried brain could cope with😂

For people that like to hear the sound, you can switch on "Stable volume" in the TH-cam settings. The sound will then be normal!

@ haha i was actually referring to, when the game was launching, it played music for hours so I went into the sound control panel and turned msfs24’ to 20%

@@MacXpert74oh my, yes I just turned stable volume on and jee whizz thats loud😂

@@TazziedoesWT Ah, okay. But the volume in the video was also very low if you don’t have the ‘stable volume’ switched on. With my normal volume setting I could hardly hear anything. So then I thought, let me try this new stable volume feature in TH-cam and it worked great for this. 😅

Hey mate, thanks for the comment! I don't disagree with you at all, its true, the papis help with the glideslope however, in the sim, many of the lights aren't actually correct from what I've found and in addition to that, I'm very used to the Hornet and viper in DCS where you want to come in lower and glide onto the runway, makes the landings smoother, not "technically" correct though as you have pointed out. EDIT: Just need to add this here, the Garmin 1000 bugs out very often for me, and in trying to set up a procedure, the AP would not align to it let alone let me change it over hence why I'm coming out so far from the left !!!!! Other than that, enjoy your day!
