CNNnews : Federal regulators are investigating fatal crash of VinFast EV Federal regulators are investigating a California crash that killed four occupants who rode in a VinFast electric SUV, which had automated steering features the owner had earlier complained about.

A complaint filed with the agency on April 29 indicated steering may have been an issue in the crash that killed parents and their two children. Local police said that no other vehicles were involved and that speed may have played a role in the accident. The car's owner, who had loaned the VF 8 to the family, said he had previously experienced a steering problem with the SUV.
