I am a medical doctor (MBBS/MD) with a doctorate (PhD) in the field of surgery. I am interested in world languages different culture. I also have a MBA, Postgraduate Diploma in Dermatology and a couple of other professional certificated. I was born in Malaysia. I was an overseas student in Australia for my high school and university in Australia. Later I migrated to live and work in Australia. English is my first language. I have published papers, lectured and gave presentations. I am also conversational in a few other languages, some better than others - Mandarin, Cantonese, Hakka, Malay/Indonesian, German and Spanish. I have given a presentation in Chinese in China on the topic of Skin Cancer in Australia some years ago. Among my hobbies and pastime, are playing the piano, choir singing, gardening, table tennis, travel, reading and writing.
I am here to share my experience and insight in medicine, languages, life in general and various other interests I have.

@@ZhangJohn-f5x 你的问题很常见，原因是这里的Ｂ不发音的。叫 Silent Ｂ， 无声Ｂ。 因此，Thumb = Thum’, 还有 Dumb = Dum’. 等等。 comb, climb, lamb = com’, clim’, lam’. Silent letters in English 也是一个英语特色。 也有Silent K。 我会将这个现象作为一专门的题目（视频）。
有时候看文字读会读错的。中文也一样，中文的多音字。
