In Europe people pay a fractions (1/10 or even lot less) of property taxes compare to what people pay in USA. Unless you bought house several decades ago and your state has limit on tax grow, then you will virtually NEVER own your house

Fort Pierce and Port Saint Lucie are both way better options especially PSL because many people have moved there from Broward County and they commute still for work or to see family and friends

I think Fort Pierce should build the station if only one station will be built in the Treasure Coast because it's the halfway point between West Palm and Orlando. Those north of Fort Pierce would possibly consider taking Brightline if they travel to the south and those South of Fort Pierce can consider taking Brightline to the Northern stations.

The only property tax should be when you buy the house because you bought it you own it. If you have to keep paying taxes to the government you don't own it.

So people who own property in FL but don't live there won't be paying any taxes to FL, and the difference in taxes will be picked up by the people who do live there? Why would any FL resident agree to that? If the argument is lower overall taxes, just lower taxes!
