Hi Micheal, I really appreciate you passing on your information. Legend status earned! Forgive me for my ignorance. The right inlet runner if you will, I noticed a hole on the top. Has that touched the water jacket? I’m just worried that the only shot I have with one engine turns to rubbish. What would you say the length and width of the inlet is best?

Bridgeports when done right dont hinder the longevity of the motor AT ALL. there are guys south of the equator with 200-300k miles on an engine with bridgeports. thats a real bad piece of misinformation. if done correctly they are just as reliable as any. its really not even open for discussion. you know youre wrong

This video had brought a smile to my face when I had first seen it and helped influence me in purchasing my FD.
What about beveling or streamlining the intersections between ducts and working surface? Meaning the ports interface. You have a chart about this in 'Manual of Automobile technik', by BOSCH. An straight angle generates turbulence, losses, beveling improves a bit the situation, a parabolic section of duct when entering working chamber gives near 100 % Efficiency. It also mitigates the shock of seals every time it pass over port, the hammering as in 'chattered marks'. Blessings +
Yo, you’re a lifesaver! I had a corner seal break removing it and found out the new one didn’t fit, it’s a tiny amount, so I’m gonna try that! I thought I was out of the game lol

Awesome Video. I’m building a unicorn 4 rotor. I’ve never worked on one. Sounds like the semi port might be a better idea than the Bridgeport. I’m really building a rotary for the sound. If you were building a 4 turboed 4 rotor what would be your dream build without getting into billet pieces?
Question, why are you only RTV the threads, not the shank. I work on aircraft, threads are the last thing we want it covers with sealant. If the shank can go through this easy that means it has some gap, so we use sealant to seal the gap, and also create a cushion work as a soft bushing. Is there a reason why not putting on the shank?

@txddyfarquh3916 obviously 🙄 not. I did not purchase the vehicle. It was purchased by my dad who barely has time for some of the cars because there's too many project cars on top of one another.
@txddyfarquh3916 one project in particular is a 4 rotor bridgeport with single turbo on a kit car.

Created a potential leak between front plate and housing by contaminating the RTV with assembly lube. They don't mix..!

I’m a firm believer in a small half bridge being quite reliable when done right. Leave the lots of material on the bridge.

What I don't understand is why hasn't anybody gone full P-port, and then drop in an asymmetrical reducer ring to tune the timing and overlap? If you used reducer rings, you could have something with a great huge hogged-out hole that flows like crazy but doesn't have any more overlap than a mild street port.

What about 'streamlining' intersection of port and plate? Old work indicated a bend in intake duct improve performance, this could be from blocking mix going backwards, but at full throttle, experiments pointed to better performance and efficiency with peripheral ports. Besides in sport and aftermarket versions, Mazda always had side intake ports; in the Renesis, also side exhaust ports. What a mesh!
Curious if you have ever heard if the apex seals are directional? I have heard they have a hardened face on one side which would make them directional, but haven't confirmed. What do you think?
