Handsaw meets climbing line
In this short clip we see what happens when a handsaw meets a climbing line. When the climbing line is in use and stretched the only contact needed to damage or split it is a 2-3 of the handsaws teeth. The handsaw should always be in the sheath while climbing and handled carefully while in use.

Yfirferð á klifurbúnaði

Safe climbing

Safe Climbing is an Erasmus funded project that aims to increase safety for climbers. In the project we are making an e-book about climbing and safe practices as well as videos, illustrations and other material that can be used for teaching tree climbing. Another product of the cooperation is a guide for courses and distance education options to help schools and teachers plan and setup classes ...

He was far enough away from the trunk to easily foot lock on the dead line.

Padahal aku tiap hari menebang kayu
Is it possible to use an ascender (jumar) fixed with a daisy instead of the friction rope machard/prusik) ?
Then you realise this career is pointless because it pays absolute peanuts 😂
Very nice truth I would love to give you the opportunity to understand about a mechanical device that I have invented that is by far the strongest on the market #zrunner is the mechanical device that is midline attachable made out of stainless steel and it has all of the configurations needed for SRT and DRT climbing scenarios.
Awesome content !
Very good video !
These short clips are great!
nice!
nice!
Awesome!
This was quite informative. Thank you
Worst video ever
You'd better use a pedal for to lift instead of arms force.
I remember the first tree I climbed lol I could have had that tree done by time this dude cut 3 branches
its for a Tutorial video Einstein
Great video
excellent tutorial. what else you got?
i think - its real bullshit ^)
This looks like one of those nice easy climbs where you can practice safe work practices and respect the risks involved, even on a smaller tree
So nice.
What is foot ascending device name?
You seriously take your chainsaw scabbard up into the tree with you?
very good documentation including all decisive aspects
I use this method on nearly every climb. Works great on busy 🌳. However I usually have 2 climbing ropes, 1 on each side of the 🌳. I also have what I call a choker on my lanyard. If I don't want to slide to the left or right while I'm on my lanyard I just take an extra prusik that I have on my lanyard & snug it up tight to the union. Then I place a carabiner to the prusik followed by attaching the carabiner to the lanyard on the opposite side of the lanyard. Just makes me feel more secure & easier to advance the climbing rope upward. Many times I take a throwball attached to paracord to advance to a union that I just can't reach by putting a monkey fist on the end of my climbing line that I'm trying to advance upward into the canopy.. @ all times I have a secure lanyard ➕ an open ended MRS in the 🌳 that I refer to as ultimately redundancy 😄.
nice Joseph - I like this video and your added comments - thanks for taking the time to do so 👏🤟
@@tuberider1171 no problem, I will contact u about my video this spring. Take care😊
@@josephtreadlightly5686 Hey I look forward to it .. the way I'm in Melbourne, Australia, where abouts are you?
@@tuberider1171 I'm in the dead of winter in Central Minnesota of the upper 48. Our weather has been switching so much. We go from windchill temps of ZERO F. to -30*F. We have a polar vortex north of us that just keeps us on a roller coaster. When the wind dies down we dip to a real temp of -15*F to -20*F. I watch videos on TH-cam weekly from Steven Hand who owns a huge business in Australia called Archery Supplies. 2nd generation business guy who knows his stuff but he is really good @ doing impartial reviews & I enjoy watching him do something outside that I can only dream about doing here. 😉
What kind of rope do you use in this video ... The rope does not rub against the branch of a tree?
How long is the hitch cord ?
Cutting at neck height?
Many helpful comments. Thank you
Thank you so much for showing us this
Shortest, clearest video, just enough
Love to see a review of the Shizll rope slider. Or at least show how it's used to tend a prusik.
Thank you.
You are the best demonstrator in this entire business I have never heard anybody so clear so truthful and so educated with limited wording without draining the want to know feature about learning this industry

Thanks! Very educational in a limited amount of time.
Hi. Just found your resources. Thank you :)
