FlashBot x Autonomous Shuttle——"The Future is Here"
Detroit Launches Free Autonomous EV Shuttle Service with FlashBot Charging Support！
In early August, the city government of Detroit, Michigan, introduced a free public service featuring fully electric, autonomous minibuses. The 12-kilometer route connects Corktown to Riverfront, with the minibuses receiving mobile charging support from FlashBot.
This free shuttle service will operate for at least two years, running daily from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., aiming to ease commuting challenges for local residents. To sustain nearly 12 hours of daily operation, stations require DC fast chargers capable of recharging in 1-2 hours. However, the installation of charging stations involves complex planning, permitting, and construction processes, taking an estimated 18 months and costing over $200,000.
