    I did everything you said and replace a piece for drainage metal piece but still leaking very slowly. I don’t know what is is but seems like drops are from the ceiling of the flex drawer. So what is causing the leak? Please advise. Thanks.

    Good video. Maybe a dumb question, but how is it frozen yet leaking? If its truly frozen, wouldn’t it NOT leak?

      The drain is clogged because it’s frozen shut and it has to drain somewhere so it leaks. Parts and more Info below. richofalltradescom.wordpress.com/

    Is it possible that the water in my drawer is from the filter that I just changed.

      I just changed my filter 2 weeks ago and started noticing water on the ground mostly just under the front. So now my hardwood floor is buckling because of the elapsed time even thoughr it wasn’t a large amount. But i found the area under my flex drawer was completely filled with water. I assumed it was the filter because i had a hard time getting it to take for some reason. But after watching this video, i’m not sure if its the filter or the cooling zone like this video shows.

      @@richofalltrades9320 I have the same issue. I just changed the filter a few days ago and it started leaking the other day from the flex zone drawer and it's happening daily now. But the filter we have is not fake since it's a 2 pack and the other worked fine. We have had to change that clip and was only having the issue every 2 weeks or so except for after the filter change and now it's daily and a LOT of water.

    We have water buildup in the front of the drawer on the right side. It continues to pool up very slowly after we soak it up. Do you know what would cause that? Seems like it's coming from above it when the drawer is closed.

      That’s what’s happening to me now did u ever get the problem fixed and how?

  • @questioneverything9350
    @questioneverything9350 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    So basically the water that's getting collected in the flex zone is because the water that is not getting drained because of a solid ice block(clog) being built up which is not defrosting in a proper way. Hence in some other videos we see folks changing that aluminum clip so that the ice defrosts properly without clogging up. So, is it a better idea to completely defrost it by switching off refrigerator once in a while?

    • @richofalltrades9320
      @richofalltrades9320 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      This fixed the problem so that you don’t have to unplug the refrigerator. Better to fix the problem then to continue to defrost every few weeks and remove all your food.Thank you for watching!

    Thank you so much for posting this excellent video. We had ice buildup under our freezer door. I dismantled the freezer section from the front and removed all the ice at the bottom and beneath the refrigerator evaporator coils. In doing so I noticed an opening in the evaporator coil drip pan wasn’t letting water flow down into the bottom evaporator pan. So following your video I removed the drain tube and found that the “drip controller” rubber had expanded and sealed itself off. When I removed the refrigerator drain tube I found it was also blocked. I trimmed them both back a bit to ensure water flow and reassembled everything. I am sure I won’t have to repeat the exercise for many years to come. Can’t thank you enough!

      Thanks for this post, I am going to attempt to fix this problem for good. I have already attempted a fix at least twice already but did not have the information about the rear drain tubes. Turns out the coils in the back were very dirty, and the ventilation cover was also dirty. I cleaned out that and inspected the drain tubes. They seemed ok and I didn't see any water in the drain pan. Let's see if this issues goes away.
