Love it!
Wow! What memories! I was there, don't know what I dressed up as. I recognized one of the guys, name is Craig and I know we crammed for a criminal justice/terrorism class. RA at Boomer 1 at the time. Thanks for sharing.
Fun times. Thanks for posting.
Brings back memories of several Halloweens. They were great.
Fun times back in the day.
Great add. Still have this CD
Nice
Great to hear the full single. Thanks!
love ya guys
the smfis
Trumpet-guitars.
yummy
Awesome! I love obscure 7 inches like these. A real solid slab of 1984! I'm just mad I didn't come up with the name Hip Chemists
I came up with the name during chemistry class because the professor looked a lot like Elvis Costello.
@@davidbalchen3390 Haha, awesome! The closest name I've come up with was Unscrupulous Lawyers, which just came up in a conversation about sampling. You did a great job on the bass here! It's really nice to see one of the people involved in the comments!
thanx for uploading very good post punk new wave.
Wuz there
Freaking love this band, thank you!
Great to find this! I was more than likely in the audience!
I was just made aware of this video. Thanks for posting. I'm the guy playing bass guitar in the tiger suit. LOL
Love the tiger suit! Hope you’ve still got it!
I still do. It doesn't fit anymore, but my sone used it for Halloween one year. Ha ha
I Was there 1979 and 1980. Good times for sure.
So John Candy is the reason for Unhalloween. Classic.
People drinking and having a good time. Then the rioters took over
That's why I would stay sober. More fun to watch the others!
Punk Rock was never the same when The Captain & Schlemille broke up.
I want to be a Brit!
watching this from carbondale right now not partying anymore and dq just closed downtown this week
There's my bro, Josh, on bass! This kicks ass!
Saw the Rollers early 90s in Carbondale IL . Good memories 👍
The No Soul Radio album is easily the best album released during it's time. I have a CD still in my truck that I listen to like ALL the time still. I miss seeing these guys play when I was a kid.
Murphysboro! Borough City Rollers Rule ! Your music made it all the way out here, to Stockton, CA. How about a Reunion Tour !
Wow! I was at this show.
Love John Candy! Why was he there though? For a Halloween party?
This was Halloween at SIU back in my day!
You wouldn’t happen to have any of the old Carbondale Halloween shirts from back in the day would you?
John 😢❤😭
Was that Julie Brown with pcctv?
Never heard of it…
Hahahaha my hometown the year I was born o.0 🤣 its a black hole if you think you can get away it will suck you back.
LOL. I never heard of Olney until 5 mins ago. I live in Chicagoland and have driven through many towns like this in central IL. I always wonder... WTF do people do out there, for fin and for work. I was a junior in HS when this movie was made, and if I lived in Olney this would've been my scene. Haha.
1:26 "Yeah, I didn't get made up." Classic Owens.
@DaveIsDigitized I think his name is Craig Owens.
@@William1866 I remember him for sure!!!!
Old skool? Nah...old cool😎
Played guitar from around 96 until the end of things around 98 when they relocated to Knoxville-the previous guitarist from carbondale was really good and I had to learn all his parts-this lineup on this recording should have been signed...When Jeff left it was pretty much the end (best drummer I ever played with)....I was lucky to be a small footnote in this band....ran into Tony and Teri at the Mall here a few years back they still looked the same.
There is this.
Does anyone know where i can watch the john candy roadshow episodes\ Himself (host) / various "Improvisational journalism" (at least 2 episodes)
5 cent drafts!
Wow, the Riverside Shelter! Would have been cool to play that one, but I think I quit the band around this time. I once got held hostage by the Dan from the Jungle Dogs for skateboarding when I was like 13 at this shelter. The cops told him what he was doing was kidnapping and his trumpet and my rock were held for further evidence.
Heard about it later. I think that was the year I went as a guy who choked on his own vomit. Apparently some people saw what I had mixed up, put on my jacket, and thought it was actual vomit. I could not have been prouder.
Gaaaah....I miss the old Hangar!! The late 90's, early 2000's had the best local talent ever! If I could turn back time...
30 yrs later and RAUCH hasn't changed abit.... G Bless!
haven't seen the inside of that place since 97 98?... where is the BIG box o porn? hahahah... great memories.. thanks for this!
fond memories of throwing up and sweaty shows between there and the "hive" across the street
Glad to see its still There... should qualify for "historical landmark" at this point
The 'drawer of porn" is still there!
this just made my year!! any footage from the HIVE?
I would LOVE to see some Goosenibble footage. Unfortunately I haven't came across any footage from the Hive.
Was that Robert Wuhl in the Saluki jersey?
