I feel like this song is better if you go for the RoF ending than the LoR ending. Our buddy, flying high to save his people and to give them a future, the route where we have to fight him as much as we don't want to. He still calls us his buddy, and personally I think that when we die in that fight is the true ending (Excuse my rambling towards the end but its just how I genuinely feel about it... About our buddy)

Armored core is such a underrated series

The lyrics make perfect sense. It's about how despite his human body being broken and his mech body destroued his spirit still can fly, even as both his bodies rust away.

I wish Rusty were real. Lowkey, he would be an incredible friend and the second I saw him in Operation Wallclimber I just started fangirling over him, leading to me going exclusively for the liberator ending first, in hopes we'd get to fight by his side. I was basically sqeuling with happiness when I loaded up that mission. 😁🤩 I don't use the dual melee in any build but his which I replicated; purely out of respect for this chad. He stands by our side and calls us his friend despite all of the wires keeping us leashed and amoral at Walter's command. He is literally him. It's also really cool to see some actual melee representation, seeing as most of the other AC's seem to disregard it, he really does remind me of white glint in that regard, that and the light build and indomitable will to fight on, just like Raven themself. Fight on Rusty. 🐺

You know, if I had a nickel for every time I've played a Japanese game who's initials are AC, where you're a mute mercenary with a shady friend who calls you "Buddy" and is actually secretly a revolutionary...I'd have two nickels. Not a lot, but hey, weird it's happened twice.

To be honest, all the lyrical songs in the AC series use rough English for their lyrics. Which results in things like this. It has the passion of a great song, but is hard to understand. 😅

God dammit i love Rusty's character he treats us like a human like an actual comrad not like ayre the way you like him and will follow him since the first time you meet him is unmatched you actually go with his cause and actually respect him its just an amazing character
