    Mini Cooper S turbo? be sure to use Good oil, warm it up slow before hitting the gas hard, let it idle for a while to cool the turbocharger gradually after a spirited drive, - Your turbo will thank you. has the speed, but don't be a hero.

    Is that a coyote or a deer? Guess we know who was smoking what 😂😂 So next time just unbolt the ac compressor and there is enough slack to drape the condenser over the fender. No need to open the ac system. Power steering cooler can also lay across the other fender without disconnecting.

    Come on bro. Pull the head and get the head resurfaced, replace the valve stem seals, check the block deck, install new head gasket with new bolts! Replace any other parts while there such as water pump, thermostat, hoses, gaskets etc. It's not hard

    • @TAKU.2X
      @TAKU.2X หลายเดือนก่อน

      I understand where you’re coming from but most likely the head bolt threads have been pulled and it’s not advised to rethread thread bolts due to it being aluminum. I’m just looking at worst case scenario and what would be much more easier. Junkyard lengine has a warranty as well.

      And go thru all that, just to strip the threads out of the block on final torque. Replacement engine is $800 or so. Couple hundo for maintenance items and you’re good.

  • @deandremitchell6790
    @deandremitchell6790 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Take it from a E46 owner here, if you plan on just replacing the head gasket before you disassemble the engine re-torque the head bolts (this is to check to see if the threads in the block get pulled out since the engine is also aluminum). If the bolts don't get loose tightening them then you are fine with just doing the head gasket, but if they do get loose then the block is no good and just better off replacing the engine. With the M54s in the e46 with the block being aluminum when they overheat the material gets soft and ends up pulling the threads out of the block when you tighten the head bolts. It all depends on how long and how hot the previous owner let the engine get before the head gasket finally failed. Hope this little bit of info helps with your decision

    • @deandremitchell6790

      They're not unreliable, just owner's don't know how to maintain the car properly. You can't let any of the bmw cooling systems get neglected or you'll be in this situation. BMW cooling system is the down fall of the car, most people think it's like a Japanese or American car to if it gets hot and continue to drive it'll be fine but it will not be.

    This me with my 1995 toyota Celica gt. Legit bought it for $550 with my first pay check after spotting it on Craigslist. Legit never drove a trailer before but hooked one up, drove 1 hour to CT, brought it home, couldn’t get it off the trailer so paid 150 bucks to a tow company to yank it off cause it’s got 2 seized brakes, needed a new starter, and had been sitting for 8 year. Just gutted the interior today to do clean up of the mold and get it looking smexy. Do i have the money to insure the car? Nope. But it was worth it.
