Ozark Trail new 40 ounce tumbler versus Stanley 40 ounce tumbler
In this short video, I will test the new Ozark Trail 40 ounce tumbler versus the Stanley 40 ounce tumbler. The Ozark Trail costs $14.97 before taxes while the Stanley cost $45 before taxes.
I was really impressed with the Ozark Trail. The Ozark Trail produced 3.07 ounces of water from the melted ice while the Stanley produced 2.68 ounce of water from the melted ice. That’s literally just under a half ounce difference with almost a $30 dollar price difference. Both kept ice well.
For the value and ice retention, my pick is the Ozark Trail tumbler. The colors I saw was this cool multi color that I bought for the wife, navy blue, black and purple. There might be other colors out there.
If you choose the Ozark Trail, make sure the cap screws on smoothly. There was one tumbler at Walmart that the cap did not screw on smoothly.
I hope this video helps and Dave’s you some $.
Take care.

      The Ozark Trail lid will not fit the Stanley however a bootleg American flag cup I bought from temu does fit the Stanley perfect. Weird right? So Ali express does have the Stanley knock offs. All the badging is the same as Stanley down to the writing on the bottom of the cup and the cup feels the same but the weight is off by forty or so grams. That’s why I think it’s a bootleg version however it is 25 bucks cheaper. Haha. Take care

    you need to trickle charge the batteries 1-2 mA @ 12-14v then after the battery reaches 10v you can bump the current to 125mA @ 12-14v til battery is fully charged @ 19-21v

    Hello, yesterday i had the same problem with a BL1430 battery that i used a few hours ago. During the charging with one red led on the charger the battery becomes hot after a few minutes . I try the batt on my makita and it works fine. But i dont trust the situation and i put the battery outside in the garden on a flat stone surface to cool down. After five minutes in the garden, suddently the pack catch fire. I trow the pack in a bucket full of water. Never let charge a battery with no sight on it. For the same price my house burned down.

    • @teamcq9204
      @teamcq9204 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Agreed not a good way to charge. That’s why I just bought new batteries. Not worth losing my house or family. Thank you for adding to the comments. Definitely a good eye opener for others to learn from.

    • @aicisha
      @aicisha 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The makita rapid charger usually charges the battery too fast with too much current (about 9A), but it can be easily modified to charge it with a lower current (for example 2A) so that no heating will occur and it's lifespan will be longer

    2 batteries for $100 well I've got 5 battery packs barely used them they lost voltage by just sitting and now they won't charge so I'm looking at $250 for replacing barely used batteries thanks Makita. Wouldn't it be nice if Makita used circuitry in their charger that could see the difference between a bad cell and just a low voltage state...but then they wouldn't be selling as many battery packs. EDIT: apparently Makita batteries have a chip in them and if voltage drops below a certain voltage the chip locks the battery preventing charge, there are Chinese companies that sell a new chip that has to be installed but I've read it's not easy to do and doesn't guarantee it will work.
