Ali Akbar Sadeghi (born 1937) a graduate of College of Art and an honouree doctorate from the University of Tehran, is one of the most prolific Iranian artists.
In his evocative paintings, Ali Akbar Sadeghi draws on the rich traditions of Persian art but adds to them a surreal edge that involves dizzying spatial manipulations and startling combinations of real and fantastical objects, producing breath-taking kaleidoscopes of colour and form. A master story-teller, the varied Persian sources of Sadeghi's tales range from historical Persian iconography including swords, horses, gardens and warriors, intricate decorative motifs and patterns taken from classic rugs, to the compositions of archetypal Iranian miniatures and portraits, particularly those of the Qajar dynasty.

The Following movie is a brief introduction of Ali Akbar Sadeghi. Iranian illustrator, animator, artist and poet.
His works categorized in to three eras, each compiled with a volume of book.
1. The Life Book.
2. The Love Book.
3. The Lost Book.
The “Life Book” consists works from 1950s to 1970’s of his artistic career which he was commissioned by various cultural institutes as well as works created in his own studio.
The “Love Book” covers works from 1970s to the present day, when he devoted himself entirely to painting. It overarches 13 collections.
The “Lost Book” is an anthology of Ali Akbar Sadeghi’s poetry, written between 2005 & 2006 during his bout of severe depression, when he was unable to pick up his brush and paint.
