If the primary selling point of the UltraSilencer vac is quiet operation, why is it that the only sound Electrolux lets us hear is narration over cheesy music?

I once had this vacuum, it was not worth it, cleaned fine for barefloors but the battery constantly drained. Probably buying a Dyson model instead.

My families use to be avid electrolux purchaser / users. The older vacuums would last for twenty or more years. I purchased this vacuum and the repair shop had it more times than I did. They ended up replacing it and the one they replaced it with began having the same problems. This without a doubt was the worse purchase I've made in the last twenty years. Pure junk.

fyi...don't be mad at the original electrolux - this is another company than what has been in the USA for 80 years. electrolux ab from sweden bought eureka and put there name on the vacs - along with refrigerators, dryers, washers, etc. the "real" electrolux had to change their name to AERUS lux - and they have the same factory and vacs and quality they've had for 80-ish years

@mrrogersneighborhood - you can beg to differ if you like. I have had better machines. The placement of the buttons is ridiculous! As for my machine I had to take it to get it serviced twice now. They finally figured out it did have a problem and yes it was with the electrical components around the buttons. It is finally fixed after much stress and irritation. The next time I'm shopping for a sweeper I'm going to get a used model instead. I'm not paying the big bucks for brand new again. :)

different colors?

I hate this sweeper. The suction is not all that. The on and off buttons are in a stupid spot so you are constantly hitting it and turning it off. The cord keeps going back up into the sweeper too. :( Too expensive for the quality.

Just FYI for anyone interested in this vacuum-this retails for $299.99, but you can find this refurbished on ebay for $159 and free shipping. I just bought one the other day on ebay for $149.99 and free shipping. That's half the price and a bargain for an electrolux vacuum.

Is the Versatility's cyclonic system similar to a dyson, or is it totally different? Does the Electrolux cyclone system maintain suction power?
