This might be more info than you asked and overly explained, but I'm going to go over it all in case: The "standard" holographic cards are the rares, the cards with the single black star. The rarity of the card is on the bottom left next to the set indicator and card number. Commons have the black circle, and uncommons have the black diamond. Only the rare cards are holographic. And commons, uncommons, and rares all have reverse holo versions. What you're talking about is a non holographic rare. Although those do exist, there are none of those for this 151 set. Non holographic rares come in build and battle deck sets only. As 151 was a specialty set, it doesn't have any battle decks, therefore there are no non holographic rares. To check alternate versions and see how many there are, the easiest way I would suggest is to download the Pokécardex app. That is the app I use to track my collections. Simply because that app you can sort by an insane amount of variables. Not only can you track which standard vs reverse holos you are missing separately from each other. You can also search by which cards have alternate versions. Alternate versions are going to be things like the non holographic rares from battle decks. In the case of this specific set, things like the stamped versions of Bulbasaur, Squirtle, and Charmander or the cosmos holo versions of Abra, Kadabra, and Electabuzz from the different 151 box sets. In total, there are 10 cards in this set that have alternate versions that come up on that app. There's a small circle on the bottom left of each card that have card logos. Those track which cards you have and don't have. The first will be red for normal, second will be blue for reverse. Secret rares only have one version so they only have the one card logo for example. However, when you see a card with 3 card logos in that circle, that's the alternate version, which will be yellow when you add it to your collection. This will all make sense more once looking at the app. One other thing to note, is that some cards have multiple alternate versions. In this set, Voltorb is an example of that because there's a stamped alternate version as well as a cosmos holo alternate version. I do have a video on me channel where I go over my own personal completed master set. Or what I considered my master set at least. I do not include the stamped cards as they're usually promotional cards from stores like Best Buy, Game Stop, or the Pokémon Center site. But I do include all the cosmos holo promotional cards you get from the various box sets. If you wanted to check out that video. Hopefully that long read was all the info to clear it up!

And one more quick question, i got this same binder set but i see some people are saying that it bending cards and is not very good. You defintely got more experience than me so could you give your opinion about it ? Honestly to me its looking pretty solid and nice quality.

Yeah, the way it's built, the cards in the inner slot are forced into a bend when the binder is open. And it doesn't have a zipper to keep the cards inside protected.

@@SJCollectibles Oh, ok i see. So basically its not a big deal i guess, since the binder is 95% of the time colsed anyway. And is there really big difference between zipper and the rubber band type of protection ? Cause to be honest if someon would pour the water on it, or left the binder on the rain outside, then yeah zipper might be better, but if it stays in your room, laying somewhere then there is no risk at all isnt it ? Sorry for potentailly dumb/annoying questions, but im collecting since last week so im really confused, and have no knowledge at all.

I like the zipper personally so it keeps the dust and moisture from the air out. An open binder will have the cards be exposed still.

another reviewer had a video he spent more then a $500 - $1000 dollars getting the hole set for one set. Kinda upsetting. I don't make that much money. Just want to play the game. I should be able to buy a box with the cards needed to play the game. It's annoying.

I don't play the game, just collect the sets. But there are always local people that are selling single cards, I got a lot of my needed cards from buying or trading with people locally.

I'm happy about these binders you know why I'm so hardcore on loving my cards if they do bend the cards or wrap the corners you dont got to worry about someone wanting to steal your cards I'm not all about my cards being worth money tbh that's what hard cases with stands are for

I haven't opened any 151 in a little bit, but I feel like you might be right. I did just order two UPCs today to get two of the Pokemon Center Squirtle promos, so you gave me an idea to make a video with those two to compare it with the initial release UPCs!

I will keep that in mind for next time. I feel like I usually talk too slowly, so this time I was probably trying to over compensate with talking too fast.

I don't really see the need to have penny sleeves inside a zippered binder, plus I think it makes the cards harder too see clearly adding an additional layer on top of them already being in the card binder. Just a personal preference.

whats the difference between a penny sleeve and pokemon sleeve anyways why do people use them instead
