Music and dance are an inherent part of Indian art culture. This India day performance is my latest effort, ‘Ghar more Pardesiya’, a creative semi-classical dance that depicts Sita’s love for Rama from the famous Indian epic folklore, "Ramayana".

Our classical group performance in Nrityotsava, Kalakendra at Lake Oswego, Oregon. We performed a powerful depiction of Shiva Tandava Stotram - a verse originally composed by Ravana, one of the Lord Shiva's greatest devotees. We developed a fusion of traditional Kathak and Odissi dance forms for this performance.

Save Girl Child, Women Empowerment ndia is ranked 191th amongst 201 countries in terms of female to male ratio. Female foeticide, violence against women and gender inequality need to stop before we can call MERA BHARAT MAHAN. The theme of this performance is to depict the wrongdoings against women and invoke inspiration to raise a voice against it.

It is not our difference that divide us. It is our inability to recognize, accept and celebrate those difference. That is the theme of our dance which covers Gujrat, Punjab, Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan states of India.
