Very interesting video I am new into the ball python breeding game hobby breeder enthusiast. I do not have any desert ghost in my collection as of yet. I have 14 ball pythons looking to breed them in the future They are still small. Or be lying if I said I fully understood your presentation I'm sure it is valid I just feel like some of it goes over my head. Anyways I liked and subscribed looking forward to more videos and for my brain to get this one day😅🐍❤

There is no way to be in every ball python project. When you’re working recessive genes, you have to keep plenty of hets. So you have to keep more animals! I’m really starting to focus on what I really like. Trying to work for more supers and ALS combos. Still excited about the hobby, and I’m having a great time!

Yeah, can't keep them all unfortunately. I never thought it would be so hard to say goodby to snakes lol. I have some things that I got early on when I first decided I wanted to try breeding. Those things don't make sense to keep now with the projects I am working and have planned out. I have gotten attached to them and try to justify to myself why I am keeping them. 1 1/2 years ago I had my first clutch ever. The female was a caramel albino, and I wasn't aware of the fertility issues they can have, and I got 10 slugs. My second clutch ever hatched out towards the end of summer, and it was bittersweet making my first sale. I didn't want to say goodbye to this amazing animal that I helped create, but it was an amazing feeling achieving something I had worked towards for 2 years. I spent 9 years in the Army and if you asked me back then if I thought I could ever be attached to a BP I would have probably would have laughed followed by some colorful words. Oddly now these awesome animals and this hobby have helped me a lot overcoming some of my "issues". I plan on starting a non-profit side venture and give free BP to other veterans who might need a legless puppy as a friend in their life to chill with. My slogan is going to be something funny like "Giving veterans back their balls since 20**". Or "putting veterans' balls back in their hands since 20**". Open to ideas if anyone has something funny using word play. Anyway, sorry for the long post I just found my situation ironic.

Amazing animals brother. Puzzle and vpi are two of my favorite genes since getting into BP. I have invested a lot into puzzle projects and cross over projects. Almost everything I bought as a baby and had to grow out. Last month was my first puzzle pairing with a 1.0 pastel, puzzle, het hypo going to a 0.1 super pastel, cinnamon, puzzle. I also have a 0.1 het puzzle, het hypo that will be ready in 3-6 months, and a 1.0 het hypo, het puzzle, het VPI who is only a few months old. I got the triple het male so I can cross my puzzle stuff into my vpi pied stuff down the road and who knows from there.
