I'm just re-watching this for nostalgia. Back when Snap-On had good deals in the flyer. LOL.
you can not warranty Cat tools through snap on that is a myth and them wrenches are nor made by snap on brand they are but the Williams MWS-18A and yes snap on owns them but they are not life time warranty ... not every tool form cat is made by Snap on only 12 % are snap on the rest are Wright tools Jet tools Grey Canada High five Lisle and even now Tekton and several other companies manufacture Cat tools ...... you have to be car full buying From Cat parts ..... and well with how the warranty works on Cat tools no all are life time and even at that they Reserve the right not wo warranty tools for non Certified Cat Techs and mechanics .
Those cat wrenches are not snap on. they are Williams super combos good wrenches though
Williams is owned by SnapOn tho
I see this is 3 years old now. How’s the HF box held up?
I sold it to a guy who works for me 2 years ago. He still has it and uses it on the farm. Only issue I’ve seen are the gas struts.
@@erickstooladdiction388 pretty impressive. Toolbox like that in a pickup lives a rough life!
Does rain or anything ever get into it?
Klein tools are now being sold at Lowe’s FYI
nice, thanks for sharing
Do a truck tour please
that snap on impact is junk. fine for small, low torque fasteners but it cant handle much. no power and they break frequently.
Nice
Watch out addiction is real. I don't think they have a 12 step for tool addiction. I used to have a bunch of tools. Now I am older thinning the herd. Good Luck.
Great video 👍
Little snapon screwdriver SDDDM1AG
Love the tool haul video! Congratulations on the baby! I like your style I really want to get one of those little green screwdrivers lol
do those cat wrenches have flank drive teeth in them?
yes
they are not Snap on .. well snap on owns the manufacture but now Snap -on and they are not life time they are the Williams MWS-18A
I love those side angle pliers
Take care of your tool dealer and they’ll take care of you. Good man getting them off the truck. Amazon has enough money lol. Snap On isn’t hurting either (tho of the two I’d be more worried if Snap On went out of business than Amazon. Not a mechanic either), but the average Joe driving the truck isn’t a millionaire. I’m sure he appreciates your business
He might not be a millionaire, but he's living way better than you ever will, because of all of the idiots obsessed with tool trucks!
I had and used one of them boxes in my farm truck to keep small items for my fence line items, and those worked wounded and keep my items out of my big truck toolbox I loved it and would like to have another box if needed.
Value pro for the truck. Pro stuff stays in the shop box. Nice setup 👍
In the field air grinders use tooooo much air for me. Got to stick with electric
I did notice that my 9 gallon air compressor did struggle to keep going. I have a 30 gallon one on my flat and I’ll try it out and see how it does with a bigger compressor
When u go to Napa for exchange does regular joe need a receipt
I never had to take a receipt in when I warranty my stuff. Normally I just walk in, I give them the broken tool and if it’s in stock they hand me the new. If it’s not in stock they just order me a new one. My Napa guys are really good about warranty’s on tools
@@erickstooladdiction388 thx. I Wonder how it’ll be for a non regular customer. I’ll find iut
@@donotrobme9295 as a backyard garage hack I have not had any issues with Carlyle warranty and have never had a receipt. Only thing that kinda annoyed me was I broke a very early model roto head ratchet. They replaced it but the newer ones have heavier handles. I wanted to just put a new roto head on the old handle they wouldn't let me. Outside that never an issue. One thing to note, since Carlyle has been going up in price I have been asking for a better price on stuff and usually get it even on real deals. Would like to know any ones opinion on Carlyle sockets vs Icon?
Awesome tool haul bro, sub'd!
I saw tool addiction so I subscribed
So glad your back! I'm a big user of the hex sockets at work as well. I've got the stubby hex from GM powertorque, standard size from Channellock, midlength Mac tools, long from Pittsburgh pro. They all work very well and don't give me any issues at all when they break I get napa carlyle to replace them. I did also just grab a Gearwrench Hex and Torx set for $45 at tractor supply and they aren't to bad quality at all.
I think I’ll get the gearwrench master set. Im getting ready to buy another bigger tool box for my truck and when I do I’ll make another setup I can keep as a back up if I’m not in my normal pick up.
@@erickstooladdiction388 great idea! The gearwrench stuff is pretty good!
Good to see you back. Iv been using the Capri master bit set it’s about $200 88 pieces I’m pretty sure but they’re very nice especially for the money.
Thought about getting that one too. But with me only being minutes away from my local Napa it just made since for the warranty.
@@erickstooladdiction388 makes sense I love the Carlyle tool line
T6 Fluke is one of my favorite tools. It has the privilege of riding inside the cab. tHanks for the video
Thanks
Have had great luck with Carlisle stuff myself. Love that box. One of these days I will pick up a Montezuma.
Killer setup. Love these boxes when they're laid out well like this. Your drawer ideas at the end are great! The flexibility offered by drawers and the fact that these field boxes don't have them is a big miss. I would add two drawers below, one 2" deep and one 3.5" deep. Keep the frame flush with the face of the Montezuma when open, recess the drawers a 1/4" or so. Full extension friction slides or possibly ball bearing slides if you can figure out a way to support the drawer by the frame/case to not damage the slides while driving. Extend the Montezuma cover downwards and add gasketing around the drawer face frame to seal that area. I think that would be a great setup, although it could add considerable height to the Montezuma.
' = foot, " = inch. A 30 foot box would be impressive.
Good to see you back.
I love how this box is! I'm in a totally different carrier field but I like the style of these boxes. I would love one of these boxes on like a rollcart platform. 1 bigger drawer and maybe 2 smaller ones. Also I love that your into the Napa Carlyle stuff. I've been using them alot and preaching they are pretty hard to beat for the most part my go to sockets 3/8 dr are Napa Carlyle ones and they take a beating and look great.
I'd be pretty beat up if I lost so many Snap On Tools. That would hurt. 😢 I'd be in the same boat replacing them with decent lower cost brands.
Lost a 3/8 small snap on ratchet my heart snuck when I try looking for it and it wasn’t there
I was doing something similar with my 26 inch how do I keep water out when it rains I was using a welding machine cover but when it rained really heavy water still got in I'm working out of smaller boxes that can fip in my service truck now but I loved having it like yours in my personal pick up I'd get home drop the tail gate bam mobile work bench what material did you use on the frame for it
How did u mount it in the truck bed
Definitely a mental disorder! I go to Home Depot for therapy.
Could you do a video of how you have it set up in the truck?
Might come in handy he says 😂
What website do you find those tools
💯
Sweeet!!! How does the box handle rain?? I am thinking about cutting down my U.S. General rolling too cart (4 drawer) for my truck (welder).
🤔 that was a fair amount of tools for the price you paid, adds to my suspicion of my dealer
The tool has hands
All that for 500, maybe my dealer charging me to much, that's a really good deal for all that little to good
Looked up that product code. If you got 2 for one then it was definitely a no-no to pass by. Fyi if you wipe your tools of use the stuff you get at hardware store to clean stainless steel fridges. It cleans and leaves a light coating to protect against rust and oxidation. Works wonders
Im interested in your projects and tools to come.
One gauge? That would be over a quarter inch thick lol. Maybe you mean something closer to fourteen gauge?
