Brown Eyed Girl - Van Morrison [Ukulele Cover]
Classic rock song by Van Morrison adapted for the Ukulele. There is another version in my head for which I intend to use the looper to implement some drum/percussion and may be a couple of harmonies in the "Sha la la la"-part.

Beautiful mournful song by Flogging Molly, from their album Drunken Lullabies. My version for Ukulele, including a bit of fingerpicking which I'm not that good at. Lack of time during recording means that I had to publish a take that was far from good. But this way I can encourage you to admit that perfection isn't always to be achieved.

This version was inspired by Annette Degenhardt's arrangement for classical guitar, published on her record "The land of my childhood". It is the best version of this song there is (my personal opinion, of course) and I tried to bring it to the Ukulele and my voice as good as I could.

In previous videos I used my Ditto Looper to loop a cappella singing. Today I decided to go for the mournful "The Warden" by Old Crow Medicine Show and use the looper to imitate their beautiful harmony singing. I definitely need to practise more with the looper, this device really is merciless revealing the smalles of timing issues...

This is taken from my first gig as a solo artist under the name of Matt O'Kelly. I played for a couple of friends and colleagues at a private party. It was the first time I tried to cut two recordings of the same song into one video and I think it more or less turned out okay, though with the software I used there are some minor glitches in the timing...

Hi man Could you share the notes please?
I don't have any sheet music to this, I just googled the "song title lyrics chords" and went with the version in C. (Chords are C, F, G and Am) Then I played around with the chords, adding fingers and such to recreate the feel of the song. Maybe I can create a tutorial if that helps.

I played the guitar for a very long time before starting with the Ukulele. I've been playing it for 6 years, of which only the last 3 I played and practised consistently....
