I was reading 21.6v, so yeah, 3.6v/cell or so. I'm typically looking to land when I read 21.** , because it can take me a while to land softly...🤔😑 I can get 5 to 7 minutes of flight time out of these 1300mAh, depending on how aggressively I fly. Thanks for watching and commenting, Tommy. 🤠👍

Thanks for watching and commenting, BurdFam. Yeah, it's fun to test the range once in a while. 1.5 miles seems to be about the max with this current setup. Ha! You're right about the batteries. It is bare bones, but I don't like having a bunch of LiPos sitting around. With a small group, I feel like I can monitor their health more closely. When they start to fail, I can replace them quickly enough. Usually, within a few days from Amazon. I keep the dead ones in a steel ammo can until I can dispose of them properly. It's hard to find a recycler near me that will take them 😕. Thanks for the kind words, Bart. I get a lot of comments about the sky around here in videos and photographs. It's interesting how the sky is so different in different places. I've lived in Utah, Colorado, Wyoming, California, and Arizona. The skies here in Arizona are by far the most unique and interesting. I don't know the physics behind it, but the colors amaze me. Especially during the monsoon season when there's more moisture in the air. Spectacular. I hope you're off work on this Labor Day. @TommyTester Thanks for watching and commenting, Tommy. Those folks are moving. Those are "Pods". @@Sonic_Ox HAHAHA. My trick when I write checks for stuff I want, I write on the memo line "Gift for wife." She's on to me now I think.
Hahaha. I think the missus would sniff that out right away...🤔😆 First of all, I hardly ever write checks anymore. Most of my toys come from Amazon or other online retailers. She can view the credit card activity in real time 😬😆

@@Sonic_Ox We are on an Alaskan cruise. A couple times I've been flying in in the sim (Velocidrone) and have had people come and start an extended conversation about it. Fun stuff! Have you started Acro?
@Dorff_Meister I hope you're enjoying Alaska. I spent a month working in Anchorage about 30 years ago. Beautiful place. I even rented a car and drove to Homer. I fell in love with Soldotna. I haven't been back but have considered a cruise with the missus. I have a niece who is a cruise ship captain in Alaska during the summer and in Florida during the winter. Maybe she can hook us up with a good deal. I practice in acro mode once in a while, but you can't call what I do "acro." Just trying not to crash really...🤔😆 I don't really have aerobatic aspirations, so I don't work at it too hard. I would like to add a flip or roll here and there to make my videos a little more interesting, but it's still a pretty white knuckle endeavor for me. I hate expensive repairs 😆.
@@Sonic_Ox I don't necessarily fly Acro for tricks, but for the control. Flying Angle feels awkward after learning Acro and because angle mode videos are more prone exhibiting "snap back" if you aren't careful about stick position, which can look odd. In acro, I only use right stick inputs if I'm changing direction/ banking/ etc., so I don't need to be constantly holding the stick. I do still fly angle indoors because acro can get really fast really quick, but I hope to get a better handle on indoor acro this fall with my Meteor65 or similar.
All valid points. I will continue acro practice as my goal of smooth, cinematic flights will benefit greatly as acro becomes second nature. Thanks for watching, Dorff. I really value your input. I hope you're enjoying your trip. Safe travels, amigo. 🫡 🍻

@burdfamfpv Thanks for watching and commenting BurdFam! Yeah, so far, it's better reception than the original. I don't think I got below 20 MBs on the OSD. Thanks for watching Bart. I really appreciate the encouraging input. Your flying and filming have inspired me to improve. Have a great weekend, amigo. 🫡 🍻
Hey Bart, I've got an IT question for you. I'm considering external ssd storage options mainly for drone video. I use about 1TB per year. I'm looking at 1TB units for around $100 ($80 - $100 depending on retailer and incentives. ) I'm also looking at NVMe enclosures which make a 1TB stick a little cheaper (after you already own the enclosure). Then there's always NAS storage options and cloud storage options. Neither of which I'm really considering due to price and unneeded features. I don't need to access files from other networked devices for example. Also, I have no desire to pay for a subscription storage solution. What are your thoughts as an IT professional on external storage solutions?
@@Sonic_Ox I'm happy to help First question, are you using a laptop for editing or desktop? I have gone done this road a couple of times since starting this hobby. I was capturing footage with my mavic 3 at 120fps and the files were piling up quickly. I looked at raid storage and large SSDs etc, and it was all too expensive, and mostly unnecesary for my needs. What I ended up with is using a 1TB nvme drive for my operating system, and davinci resolve (c drive), and then I found a 15TB enterprise grade spinning hard drive for about $200 (seagate has an external 14tb drive for less than $200) I have a usb 3 external drive holder where you can stick any hard drive into it easily and swap them at will, it's not enclosed. I use the big spinner for all of my long term storage, music, movies, drone footy etc... I also put a 15TB hard drive in my desktop. So now, I leave my footy files on my fast nvme drive, and gyroflow them, and then I move them all to the big slower drive. I open them off of the big drive in Davinci, but my davinci uses the ssd for catalog, proxy, and working drive so it runs fast while editing. I also export my output files to the ssd, and then copy them to their final destination back on the big spinner drive. Once a week I sync all my big internal spinner to my external spinner (for backup). So in summary, for the best performance and least expensive, I use a combo of ssd and SATA HDD to accomplish what I need. Will it work for you? I don't see why not, but your desires might differ from my own. IMHO, trying to use SSD/NVME for long term storage is way too expensive and completely unnecessary. I hope that all made sense ;) i'm looking forward to hearing what you decide, and LMK if you have any questions at all. Oh, and I've had the best luck with seagate enterprise drives over the years. other brands are fine too, but the quality control on the Seagate drives has proven to be superior in my experience. Just overall less failures. But I'm sure there are plenty who would disagree with me and have had different experience, so it's not scripture or anything :)
@@Sonic_Ox GD lol, I wrote a very long explanation to this but don't see it posted :( I will summarize what my scenario. I bought a 1TB NVME for my computer (c drive) I run my davinci working folders off of that. I also export my davinci finished files to c drive, and load and export my gyroflow files to it as well. I place my gyroflowed files on my Seagate NAS 16TB SATA HDD (spinner) (but the drive isn't connected through network storage, it's just connected through SATA internally. I open the those files in Davinci, but they get proxied to my NVME drive, so essentially, it works off my SSD even though it's opened from the SATA drive. That way my davinci catalog is still connected to the SATA files. Ultimately, all of my stored files live on the SATA HDD. SSD/NVME is way too expensive for storage, and there isn't any real benefit IMHO. It would be nice, but not worth the $. I also have an external 16TB drive that I sync with my internal once per week for backup. I keep all of my music, movies, tv shows, and data on that drive too, so I like to back it up. I've always found Seagate to be the most reliable with the best quality control. Especially their NAS and Enterprise drives. Other brands are good too, but I've run into more failures with others than I have with Seagate. I'm sure that others will disagree, probably due to their own experiences. Always personal opinion, but I've built massive storage solutions for multiple companies and always have had the best long term success using Seagate. I'm looking forward to hearing what you decide on. Feel free to ask any questions at all, I'm happy to help. Good luck on your storage quest, amigo🍻
